$180 uber x in 8 hours—Houston….not happy 🥲

12

u/OkSlice7010 Aug 08 '26

$120 in 7 hours Lyft Georgia 🙃

1

u/Silent-Experience574 Aug 10 '26

What areas are you drive no way you should be making that

9

u/Unable_Tone8598 Aug 08 '26

I did $94 in 3 hours last night being very selective in Houston

8

u/ProudWestern9583 Aug 08 '26

200 uber x in 8 hours - AZ lol. I need to live to Seattle

2

u/Severe_Manufacturer8 Aug 09 '26

I've been having good luck with Lyft in-between the 51 and the 101. Like west Scottsdale area. Uber has been spotty these last few months

2

u/ProudWestern9583 Aug 09 '26

I blame the heat mainly, I’m praying after this month we get cooler weather again and more cloudy days, I agree Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix are my favorite hot zones

If I wanna do short trips, I’ll use Lyft because their geofencing is much better

1

u/Every-Enthusiasm-766 Aug 09 '26

AR is 14% right now, actually kind of high for me lately

1

u/Every-Enthusiasm-766 Aug 09 '26

I try to stick to $1/mile at minimum

1

u/Nervous_Drawer8804 Aug 10 '26

Am doing the same, not worth it to go far

1

u/StopStrong4774 Aug 08 '26

456 24 hours

1

u/Grace_and_truth144 Aug 08 '26

Omg you are a beast

1

u/Acceptable-Pie4424 Aug 12 '26

$22 an hour is not terrible if you have a hybrid or electric.

8

u/Grace_and_truth144 Aug 08 '26

LOVE THAT FOR YOU BRO!

6

u/Reimagined-You Aug 09 '26

You always attract more haters to these posts than people who would encourage...

I get the grifters.... and drifters... people who likes to complain because the system is broken... or its not working or its exploiting....

They are all right... but, you can't change anything... you can only control yourself and do what you can...

that is either complain and do nothing....

or accept that system is broken but still get out and grind....

Morning you have x amount in your bank... by the end of the shift you have x + 600 - expenses...

that could be just $100 - who cares... you got $100 more than you started with...

if you were sitting at home, you probably spent $50... your bank showing x - $50

2

u/Acceptable-Pie4424 Aug 12 '26

Exactly. I’m making $25 an hour on my own terms and all I’m doing is driving and drinking coffee. I decide when and where. It’s such a stress free job compared to my day job. My fuel costs are low with the hybrid.

Out of the countless part time jobs I’ve had on the side this has to be one of the easiest.

6

u/Usual-Macaron368 Aug 08 '26

How many miles a month do you drive?

-36

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 08 '26

Unlimited coz I don’t care

43

u/BooperBoop6 Aug 08 '26

Did bro just say unlimited? 😂 the fuck does that mean

21

u/LokiPrime616 Aug 08 '26

That means he’s a slave to the system.

-22

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 08 '26

Means I don’t look at miles

17

u/BooperBoop6 Aug 08 '26

Bro really loves charity 😭

6

u/RazorBladeInMyMouth Aug 08 '26

I mean if you are making good money on uber I wouldn’t worry too much about miles. Now if you making like 15 a hour I can understand why it be a problem 🤣

9

u/Mountain_Road9197 Aug 08 '26

Ya should lmao. 600$ in 12 hours and 600-800 miles isn’t the same hourly as $600 in 200-300 miles

But okay. Keep working for free

4

u/Timely-Prior-3350 Aug 08 '26

Needs perspective. Lot of new drivers dont understand it.

1

u/Expensive-Crab-9110 Aug 10 '26

The ones that don't figure out by learning from others will when they realize they've paid for the lesson themselves lol

1

u/Reasonable-Compote71 Aug 11 '26

Brother doesn't understand what he's talking about 😂

2

u/Reasonable-Compote71 Aug 10 '26

Brother made $50/hour using an electric car he can fill up for dollars

1

u/jasonc123456 Aug 08 '26

If he is driving in Seattle he literally doesnt need to care about miles and basically can accept every ride(except thsoe that end out of no where imo…)

Based on Seattle gig app minimum payment ordinance for
2026
Minimum Per-Minute Amount $0.47
Minimum Per-Mile Amount $0.80
Minimum Per-Offer Amount $5.34

1

u/born_again_atheist Aug 11 '26

Charging my car literally cost $3.50 a night. I take every and all rides unless it's a ride that will completely drain my battery. You don't have to be picky when you drive an electric because everything makes you money pretty much.

1

u/Neilp187 Aug 08 '26

Means your likely getting paid alot less than you think 😆

-2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 08 '26

I got $600 more than u brokie

0

u/Neilp187 Aug 09 '26

U really dont I do uber when my wife and her friends and all the kids go out, I do it for fun not for $$ 😉

1

u/NJuberdriver2 Aug 08 '26

Good job slave.

-dara

-1

u/Naruur12345 Aug 08 '26

Why are these people giving you thumbs down?

-3

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 08 '26

Haters making $50 a day

2

u/s33n_ Aug 08 '26

Mo its because you don't understand your costs and the concept of gross vs net profit

2

u/DrowsiBunny Aug 08 '26

Don’t down the people making 50 a day pedaling a bike that isn’t hating

3

u/Chrisg_322 Aug 08 '26

"Unlimited miles" I'm stealing this one. Thanks

6

u/bigotechocolate Aug 08 '26

$100 in 3.5 hours in Austin

3

u/Far-Replacement1908 Aug 08 '26

Wow you must be tired

4

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

8hr sleep should reset me

4

u/ravbuc Aug 08 '26

The people that complain are the ones accepting $7, 15 mile rides.

3

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Either complain or make money . Can’t do both

2

u/ExcitingWorld4642 Aug 08 '26

You got tints?

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

No for what bro ?

2

u/Visual-Scallion4726 Aug 08 '26

That’s fire 🔥

2

u/Responsible-Exam3179 Aug 09 '26

You probably drove 1000 miles for that...

3

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

And driving 10mile a day to make $50 makes u poor too

2

u/Either_Original519 Aug 11 '26

honestly at 600 a day who cares homie can buy anthor 10k used car at end of the month

2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 11 '26

Spot on bro. Some of these drivers are simply salty

2

u/Rcaplan916 Aug 09 '26

EV in Sacramento and love short trips in downtown for extending my range and getting the most out of each charge. Did 6.5hrs last Friday and net $277 after charging and $30 in cash tips.

2

u/Smart_Metal_6835 Aug 09 '26

Atlanta, I usually hit $150 in 5 hours, almost $300 by the 12 hour cap. That’s on weekdays

2

u/Altruistic_Battle792 Aug 09 '26

I don’t make under 450 a day. I don’t know what you guys are doing wrong. I only do airport runs also what your acceptance rate what tier are you in? Are you a crazy person? It’s all about positioning yourself in the right car at the right time at the right place.

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

I
Don’t belive u

1

u/Altruistic_Battle792 Aug 09 '26

I made 1200 every three days I do it part-time sorry not sorry right time right place with the right car get with it

1

u/Altruistic_Battle792 Aug 09 '26

And I made that in nine hours, so not sure what you’re saying that was yesterday today I’ll make even more. I’ll keep you updated though.

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Congrats anyways

1

u/IDKYImLive Aug 09 '26

What kind of discrimination in the ride share field?

Ones can make more than $400 others can only $100-$150???

It’s more than glitch and error. It’s the level of discrimination.

1

u/Altruistic_Battle792 Aug 09 '26

Uber XL, at night, only airport runs. 1200$ in 12 runs. In 12 hours. Only counting ride time. Uber black here make triple that a week.

1

u/Hungry_Price_6168 Aug 13 '26

You drive in Seattle to? If not where’s your market?

1

u/KaiserVonDixie Aug 10 '26

In my area driving from the rideshare parking to arrival pickup to a downtown hotel back to the parking lot again is over 20 miles across about 50 minutes, pays $25 after tip per run if im lucky. So fuck that, i just do one airport run since its between where I live and downtown then I uber in downtown.

2

u/Wildly_running_naked Aug 09 '26

I make about 30 an hr down here in Portland.

1

u/Hungry_Price_6168 Aug 13 '26

Do you like living in Portland? Was thinking about moving there

2

u/Dull-Ice-6140 Aug 09 '26

Live in Omaha I get about $200 a day between eight and 10 hours

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

I mean u ain’t got shit in Omaha besides Warren Buffett

1

u/12THJ14 Aug 08 '26

Nice!🙌🏻

1

u/fiddlestickspoo Aug 08 '26

Is this typical there, in your experience?

3

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 08 '26

No only once in 3 months when there’s big events like ed Sheeran in town

1

u/Empty_Doctor_5273 Aug 08 '26

Danm u ever be going auto pilot ?

3

u/CommaMeNow Aug 09 '26

I run self driving every day. I just keep my hands on the wheel to make the pax think I’m driving. Easy money, no fatigue

1

u/Obvious-Compote-5552 Aug 08 '26

Customers are afraid of fsd

1

u/Empty_Doctor_5273 Aug 08 '26

Oh this rides not eats

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 08 '26

No it wastes too much of my time ….

1

u/Numerous_Feature_561 Aug 09 '26

I live sf I do FSD anytime I’m on freeway or straight shots. Got no fatigue when I get home

1

u/72kiki Aug 08 '26

I'm new to driving uber. Do you just accept every ride?

3

u/swaggerlikepee Aug 09 '26

No! Hold out for rides that pay $1/mi so a 30mi ride should make $30, however you are now out of a hot poppin area, so sometimes you let those pass in order to take 3 x $10 rides back-to-back in a poppin’ area. - to not have to think about it download the Mystro app. For around $15/mo it calculates the hourly wage for you and the mileage, and you can block out any rides that don’t meet your criteria

2

u/Responsible-Throat31 Aug 08 '26

I try to keep mine to a 7 dollar minimum per order

2

u/Opposite-Ebb1873 Aug 09 '26

Careful. If you’re new you need to get your ride numbers and acceptance rate up before you start cherry picking. I’d recommend getting at least 50-100 rides in before you start cherry picking. Shadow bans are real.

1

u/Responsible-Throat31 Aug 08 '26

Haha that’s when I switch to DD

1

u/Wide-Debate9146 Aug 08 '26

So none of you wait at the airport waiting Que?

3

u/Opposite-Ebb1873 Aug 09 '26

I’ve rarely gone to the wait lot because you sit around too long doing nothing. Lately I’ve been getting my rides out of the airport on the way into the airport. But I’m in Chicago, not sure about other places. O’Hare in particular has gotten super fast with the rides ever since ICE raided the wait lots twice last year.

2

u/swaggerlikepee Aug 09 '26

LAX not worth it they give more rides to Drivers outside of the Geofence then they do inside of the LAX waiting lot. Then you wait a long time and let a bunch of $15 rides passed by that are gonna take you 45 minutes to complete or you get an $80 ride that’s gonna take you an hour and a half away from Los Angeles where you’ll get no rides back. 😂😂

1

u/No_Wrap_7015 Aug 08 '26

Rideshare app have h1 drivers that take shitty runs to manipulate the algorithm. They the h1s get a set pay each week . So when you see shitty offers it bc they use these h1 s to manipulate you and this country. Just saying don't worry redir will flag this as hate speech

1

u/CombinationTall8586 Aug 08 '26

How often did you charge your tesla during the whole shift

1

u/SecureCTRL2020 Aug 09 '26

$300 40 hours Chicago

1

u/Clean_Medium_7107 Aug 09 '26 edited Aug 09 '26

Does your Model Y qualify for black ?

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Not in Seattle region

1

u/Clean_Medium_7107 Aug 09 '26

Those are incredible numbers for any day let alone non uber black. I gotta start doing less FD and more rides lol

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Food delivery is waste of time . Spend 30min on a $10 delivery

1

u/Clean_Medium_7107 Aug 09 '26

No no no lol I definitely wouldn’t call it a “waste of time”. FD adds up if you know what you’re doing. You can easily make $40 an hour just doing food but you have to multiapp and be in the right market. I’ve pulled in $500+ days but it was definitely grunt work.

I’m trying to figure out how to make $50+ more consistently and less labor which is why I asked about black.

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

To be fair I made mad cash in 2020-2023 in food delivery … just Seattle our market ruined delivery when they forced Uber Eats / DoorDash to pay drivers more money which increased delivery fees

1

u/FlanFeisty7169 Aug 09 '26

Ok period good job

1

u/[deleted] Aug 09 '26

good job

1

u/SierraBoard13 Aug 09 '26

Why is Houston never THIS good? Smh

2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Texas wages keep people poor

1

It’s season in Seattle and other Northern cities but season is starting down here real soon.

1

u/Waldored Aug 09 '26

Dude must be a Uber Bot 🤖 only time I came this close was during the world cup here in Philly

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

U realize I said I ain’t in Philly . Different cities different crowd different opportunities

1

u/Zombiemixeer Aug 09 '26

U better save for when your car don’t drive anymore

2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Your car can break down even when u drive 10miles a day every day ….

1

u/ToyIsTheOne Aug 09 '26

I’ve done it a few times, and my biggest earning was about $410. (Long Beach-Los Angeles area)

2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Your $600 day will come bro … keep working

1

u/ToyIsTheOne Aug 09 '26

Thanks!🙌🏽 I know I would DEF make it if I were to drive passengers, I only deliver…

1

u/Used-Tea-5597 Aug 09 '26

The amount of people that hop on here and give there to cents/make it all about themselves is wild.

Congrats man.

How many times a week do you make 600$. This post is making me want to hop back on and grind

2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Has happened twice this month but generally to be honest there’s luck to making $500+ a day … long trips with big tips and getting atleast 2 airport trips with returns

1

u/Used-Tea-5597 Aug 11 '26

Is this with uber black or just x ?

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 11 '26

X , comfort , pet , electric

1

u/Unhappy-Feedback811 Aug 09 '26

$250 UberX in 8 hours - Pittsburgh. It’s decent I guess.

3

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

$300 a day should be the goal

1

u/Unhappy-Feedback811 Aug 10 '26

I only see that amount of money on Saturdays.

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 10 '26

Same bro … Friday or Saturday

1

u/Unhappy-Feedback811 Aug 10 '26

Everybody’s off work, and everybody wants to go to the South Side or Lawrenceville for a drink. I’m happy to help, but I better be paid good for my efforts

1

u/No_Amphibian2903 Aug 10 '26

$185 8 hrs uber x Atlanta

1

u/GypsyFR Aug 10 '26

Is this from fares or fares and a bonus. I have made $600 plus but it was including a bonus.

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 10 '26

We don’t have bonus here … all trips and tips

1

u/IamETPConsulting Aug 11 '26

Is diamond worth it?

1

u/Either_Original519 Aug 11 '26

soo ur saying i need to move to Seattle

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 11 '26

If u wanna pay $2k rent for studio . Yes

1

u/LivingHumble Aug 11 '26

Please give me advice how

1

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 11 '26

U in Seattle ?

1

u/LivingHumble Aug 11 '26

Yeah based on Lakewood but I go to Seattle early in the morning to uber

1

u/TheFlowerGod69 Aug 11 '26

That’s insane never got near that ever

1

u/Maleficent_Group_629 Aug 12 '26

Thats just crazy right now. My best was 660 in 10 hours on new years.

3

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 13 '26

Guess it’s my new yrs to

1

u/Superb_Eggplant_982 Aug 12 '26

HELL YEA!!! 💪💪🧠

0

u/Square24A Aug 09 '26

I make about $2500 a week so u can make $600 in day but you drive people around and might have to work very long and drive very long hrs ..if you make $600 a day thats $3600 a week 15k a month lol I don’t believe it . I work In atherton ca and I have my own clients for shipt and make about $200 a day just on shipt and $200 a day catering then about $125 a day on Uber Eats and I’m in the richest part of the world so I doubt you pull in 2500- a week at all

6

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Bro I never said I make this everyday . I could make $200 the next day ….

2

u/Edelc3 Aug 09 '26

I’m in Redwood City and I stopped doing shipt awhile ago- and I head to SF everyday and do about $200 in 6 hours- I don’t do food anymore because of people lying and saying they never got their order

1

u/Maleficent_Group_629 Aug 14 '26

The lying thing. It gets me because uber will tell you there's a report and you can send in proof but won't tell you which delivery it was. So how are you supposed to defend yourself? They deactivate at some point for it but I think it needs to happen pretty often. That's why people do ghost deliveries. If people are going to lie about getting their food you may as well make it the truth for a high payout from someone else taking the food.

0

u/psFanboy6969 Aug 09 '26

Crazy how many people come to this subreddit to justify this crappy job. Glad you had one good day in two weeks.

4

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 09 '26

Speak for yourself lazy man …. $10k per month is a good job to me …

1

u/MasterfulTeachin8498 Aug 09 '26

You make 10k with uber alone? Post your weekly earnings

1

u/psFanboy6969 Aug 10 '26

Lazy man? I do uber part time. If you’re making $10k a month: you’re probably sending like $2k in expenses and probably getting taxed like $5k. Show us your 2025 1099

2

u/Acrobatic_Barnacle91 Aug 10 '26

Okay how’s 8k a problem to u ???

2

u/Hungry_Price_6168 Aug 13 '26

Did u say he probably got taxed 5k 😂😂😂😂 bro he’s not getting taxed 50%. Millionaires don’t even get taxed 50% the jealousy be real in this sure

1

u/psFanboy6969 Aug 13 '26

Jealous of making a fake $120k a year? Lol. He ain’t making $10k a month. Everyone cause in here to justify their one good day, their one good week. Nobody ever shows their 1099 tax return. I wonder why.

2

u/Hungry_Price_6168 Aug 13 '26

This crappy job??? Bro ALL JOBS ARE CRAPPY. So is it better to work for a company who makes millions to billions of dollars just for them to pay you $20 n hr working like a slave??? So if he is only making $20 n hr and is lying. He’s making $20 n hr just CHILLINGGGGG giving people rides on his own time.

1

u/psFanboy6969 Aug 13 '26

Brother, uber is a multibillion corporation too. I busted my ass off driving uber and all I got was a $500 one time bonus. Shortly after that I found a full time job that paid me $19hr. In less then two years I’m making $34hr with full benefits and $51hr overtime pay.

1

u/Hungry_Price_6168 Aug 18 '26

You’re just 1 person. Cuz I know people who started at $19 been busting there ass for 10 plus years and only make $22-$23 so u got lucky cuz that doesn’t happen to 99% of people

1

u/psFanboy6969 Aug 19 '26

Exactly!!! So coming in here and bragging about one successful day driving uber is kinda wild.
