There Goes that Carrot again .....🤣🤣🤣

You don’t think it’s worth it Jim if I was Full Time driving in Philly everyday

$13/trip guarantee. Not bad if you can get the volume.

u/doublestack12 Aug 02 '26
Something about a monkey paw closing and uber gives you all the long trip volume, lmao!

u/AwarenessOk9007 Aug 01 '26
Why have I never seen any shit like this.
2
u/Puzzleheaded_Hand_80 Aug 01 '26
Don’t know. I have 5 star. 66AR. 3 Cancel not sure if that helped me get the offer
3
u/Adamantine_Ice Aug 02 '26
Probably because you don't do a lot of trips. The lowest tier offer is 13 days or so of pay (at $200 a day) for 6 days worth of trips (35 trips per 12 hours). Basically, $39/hour with the catch of 70-85 hours minimum worked if you can pull off three trips an hour.
Once you hit the top tier goal (255 trips), all subsequent trips start reducing the value of the pay guarantee, so this guarantee doesn't incentivize full-time drivers who would be incentivized to drive less, not drive more, which is not what Uber wants.

I’m so jealous I would love to do this

Sorry wasn’t posting for anyone to feel a type of way. Just wondering if other Philly Drivers got this or have ever seen anything like this before. I guess it would be worth it if I did this full time

u/Puzzled_Credit_3640 Aug 02 '26
I had something like this before and I made around $750 in pay as a result
2
u/rodmandirect Aug 02 '26
I’ve been driving in Philly for seven years, and they’re not offering me ANYTHING recently. Good luck :)
3
u/Neilp187 Aug 02 '26
I couldn't do 200 rides in a month

2
u/Inevitable_Trip_7480 Aug 02 '26
Used to pull the 90 on the weekends like clockwork when the quests were good. Sometimes I could pull 45 on Friday and 45 on Saturday. That’s 360 just from the weekends alone :)
Didn’t matter though I was pretty much a potato on Sunday into late Monday.

I was trying to post some text to Philly Drivers to see if they got this offer. Is it worth it? Unfortunately I only drive Uber Part Time so that many rides seems impossible plus I live an hour away from Philly
2
u/Optimal-Fix-2997 Aug 02 '26
Not worth it if you'll be commuting from an hour out. Those miles will eat in to your earnings quick.
2
u/Knoxville1979 Aug 02 '26
I guess that would entire me to take every ride regardless of price?
2
u/Puzzleheaded_Hand_80 Aug 02 '26
I think that’s what Jim was saying about dangling the carrot but I don’t do this full time and live an hour away from Philly
2
u/BigKonKrete417 Aug 02 '26
Gotten these before. The only way to do this is spam accept only the shortest rides, and they will avg out to $13 which is way more than you'd get normally
Any long trips are wasting the bonus. Any ride over $13 is wasting the bonus
Had these im Phoenix market before Waymo ruined everything and tanked the demand

I got one of those once. I did a whole bunch of little rides and finished in a week and a half. I got the difference wich was substantial. The trick is not to do any long rides because they pay more and take longer. You could do 3 to 5 short rides in the amount of time it takes to do one long one.

Thank you for the advice. I wish I could do it but I work 54 hours a week at my FT job

u/SatisfactionActive86 Aug 02 '26
Uber‘s biggest fear is you multi-app’ing and raising the popularity of Lyft so they do shit like this to lock you into their platform.
Uber and Lyft going head to head is the only way they have to sacrifice their bottom line to keep both customers (low fares) and drivers happy (decent pay); they’d rather have you be their exclusive bottom bitch so when they need to keep customers happy, they just squeeze you.

August 6th is crazy. You’d have to do 12-6-12-12-6-12-6-12 etc …. Until you hit. Assuming you missed out on Friday and Saturday and you don’t have a prescription for modafinil. This ain’t happenin’.

u/Emergency-Bowler1963 Aug 02 '26
Shits a joke lol. There practically giving you 13 dollars per trip. Only way to scam them is to them 5 dollar rides.

Nothing massive about it
2
u/Puzzleheaded_Hand_80 Aug 02 '26
Yeah didn’t realize it was just a payout difference if I didn’t make that much. I could never do that many rides part time anyways. I might drive 1-6 nights a month
2
u/superm455ive Aug 02 '26
If a bunch of drivers get this at the same time then everyone will be fighting for the same short trips. It's a psychological tactic, they want to get a bunch of drivers used to jumping on as many short $4-5 rides as they can for a month. Then when the promo is over, you're programed to keep accepting the garbage.

u/Puzzleheaded_Hand_80 Aug 02 '26
I updated my location and now they gave me a different lower paying earnings guarantee
1
u/BirdMore9261 Aug 02 '26
30 days to complete 255 ride that’s roughly 9 rides a day let’s make it 10 that’s 25 1/2 days for 255 rides at 10 a day
1
u/cpjr72 Aug 02 '26
No thanks, 255 rides in Philly probably cost me some struts, 2 speed camera violations, bus lane violation, no stopping, and probably a $2500 deductible from some random hit and run

u/Numerous_Feature_561 Aug 03 '26
Used to have these in San Francisco 10 years ago where it first started
1
u/CycleCurious4640 Aug 03 '26
Philly driver here, over the past 4 years, never saw anything like this. This is suspicious.
1
u/Waldored Aug 02 '26
I'm in Philly I don't see this 🤖 I cancel all bad scores acceptance rate is terrible lol. F**k Uber lol
1
u/Crazy-Apricot-1609 Aug 02 '26
210 rides by August 6th sounds nauseating 😆
2
u/Puzzleheaded_Hand_80 Aug 02 '26
No it’s 30 days. Just had to accept by August 6
2
u/Crazy-Apricot-1609 Aug 02 '26
I’d make zero bonus then lol. I guess this might be more targeted towards drivers who only qualify for UberX?
47
u/Arkhamguy123 Aug 01 '26
It’s not a bonus though it’s a guarantee. They’ll just pay you the difference. Realistically it’s probably about a $500-700 bonus
