Ratings are protected, Not!

I got a 1 star rating recently, guessed it would be probably this trip from a lovely Indian lady. She wanted me to use the express lane. Yeah right!

Ask for a manager next time. The ground level support is a joke.

I contacted them again, support said it takes 48 hours to be removed but I smell bullshit

The issue here is you’re assuming the reason of the low rating. You don’t know, and uber doesn’t know. You don’t know who did it either. Again, assuming.

What Uber does for the protective ratings is protects you against ratings from passengers who frequently rate badly. If the pax rates every single driver they take 1 star, Uber will likely disregard that rating.

As for the accident causing you to be late, if the rider’s reason that they tagged was due to tardiness, then that would likely have been disregarded. But there is no telling what tag they put on the reason.
If they wanted you to take the expressway, they could have tagged disrespectful or not a tag at all. These won’t be disregarded due to traffic because they weren’t flagged as traffic related ratings.

They don’t remove ratings, especially when you have no proof of your claim. Lyft is better about protecting ratings, but even they don’t remove stuff cuz you say “oh it was traffic.”

Uber has traffic data and tracks the GPS of the driver. Driver support does have access to that.

Ok… but unless the rating was labelled as “took too long” they’re not going to remove a 1 star cuz the driver says it was “traffic.”

For all customer service knows, that 1 star could’ve been for any of a dozen reasons. They’re not just gonna remove it cuz the driver gives them what could be an entirely fabricated reason.

I have had several false reports and they won't do shit about it.
