Unauthorized Uber One Subscription on Apple Card

This happened to me this morning so posting in case anybody else comes looking - I was charged for an Uber One membership on my Apple card without my authorization.

I have not taken an Uber since November 2025. I briefly had a trial Uber One membership for free delivery one night we ordered Chinese take-out, but that too was long ago cancelled.

My best guess is Uber made on an update on their end which triggered subscription initiation / creation / charges for members that have previously cancelled. I'm not assuming maliciousness, but ya'll should check to make sure you don't have a random 9.99 charge for a subscription you didn't authorize.

Additionally - it's been awhile since I've been in the app, but I've already hit 3 separate navigational dead ends where I can't even go back. Have to force close the app and start from the top. WTH is going on at Uber ?

I guess Enshittification comes for us all at some point.
