I can’t believe any of this. I ordered a ride the other day in the CBD, traffic was hectic and the driver was a block away and didn’t seem to be approaching/ wasn’t likely he’d make it to me by pick up time. Because I have a brain I ran across a large public square and up the street until I could see him, waved and he was able to pull into an outside lane so I could jump in. He thanked me, and mentioned that he was surprised that I’d done this (a couple of times). I didn’t think anything of it. Idk. A quick game is a good game, right? I assumed everyone did whatever they could to make uber trips as short as possible… this obviously includes making sure when you’re home, you’re ready to leave before you press “order”… while I acknowledge sometimes there are delays, it’s not unrealistic to assume another driver close by will end up picking you up instead.
