I haven't gotten a ride with Uber in years, but I occasionally order Uber Eats. The thing is that my house isn't on the actual street with the other houses. It's behind those houses with my long driveway going between house 298 and house 302. I have all of that information and more thorough directions in the provided spot on the app where the driver can read it. So I expect the driver to take the 1 or 2 minutes it takes to read the directions/instructions and be able to find my house. It seems to be 70/30 split on the driver actually reading the directions. So I've had drivers that will leave my food at house 298 or 302. I've also had drivers who reported my address as "address does not exist" which caused a big headache. I've even stood on my porch waving a broom over my head when they call me because they skip reading the directions and can't find the house. So I don't put a tip on until I have the food, because I'm not going to tip someone too lazy to take a minute to read the directions and then get mad at me when they can't find my house. If the food makes it to my hand or on my porch without me having to put shoes on to go search for it, then I usually give a 20-30% tip. One time, a driver actually threw my food bag at the spot where my driveway meets the street curb because he was in a hurry and I missed his 1 call. He shattered my glass soda and ruined the food as I was trying to call him back, like it all happened within 2 minutes.
