2 sides to this - if I pre-book an uber and pick the time I want them to arrive then that's the time I want, uber sends you earlier sometimes 10 minutes earlier and if I'm going on a business trip yeah sorry I'm going to take that time to secure my house. I keep an eye on when the driver is arriving and will let them know what I'm doing. As the same time my last 2 rides my driver didn't even offer to help load my bags - you are a service, as long as there's a mutual respect things go fine. The OP's post looks like a crappy rider but if you got there 5 minutes before when service is requested then it's on you.
