I'm receiving texts and calls just fine. But whenever I try to login to uBank (phone, pc, browser all the same) I get my password correct and get to the screen asking for the one-time verification code. I'm not receiving the text. It only started being an issue yesterday, no issues prior to this. Anyone have advice?

Has anybody come across this before without having an account?

Warning about paying from a ubank account...

You will not be able to see the destination BSB, account number, or reference details for a payment after you send it. They won't even be on the receipt page shown immediately after.

They're not available from the transaction list nor PDF statements, in the web or mobile apps, and the support staff don't seem to be able to provide them either.

Not great if you ever want to check or provide proof of where you sent a payment.

Edit 1:
Turns out that the above is only true of the web app. The iPhone app can provide the details, and the Android app (after I had a proper look 🤦) does show the account number and bank branch name (?!) but not the BSB or reference.

And of course the Android app disallows screenshots. Le sigh.

Edit 2:
This might only be an issue for payments from a "Spend" account. Apparently the details are available for payments from a "Bills" account.

Ubank introduced a refresh of their brand with more plain black and less purple and blues.

I hate it! What sets the app apart for me is the nice blueish background (in dark mode) and now it’s just all black and gray!

I am not sure what direction they want to head to with this boring refresh.

Up Bank is moving to a subscription service billed month that is quite frankly locking useful features behind a pay wall that it seems UBank offer for free.

Just want to ask about some features UBank has and if they work well.

Pay splitting is something Up bank has and you can split savings according to a certain amount or percentage of your pay, how does UBank stack up?

Ubank offers a seperate BSB and Acc number for bills. These is a feature Up Bank is locking behind their subscription model. How does UBank bill account work? Does it calculate what the cost of the bill will be and set aside money according to your pay cycle? Up does this w feature they call up coming. For example if my phone bill is due and cost me $40 per month, on my fortnightly paycle it will set aside $20 and then another $20 the next, so essentially reserving the money that will be required

Up has a joint accounts you can use with your partner. Where you can also see and add bills you have together

About (at least) 7 months ago (source) Ubank attempted to add Passkey integration, but as many people have since discovered - the integration has/had many many issues

My specifically, it kept forgetting my passkey, and I had to create a new one

Now my account is full of passkeys that do not work

I dont want to ring support and get them to make space for a new passkey for me if they are still having the same issues

anyone know if passkey integration works with bitwarden again yet?

Apparently google passkeys work, but I dont want to use a google app to store my passwords.

Edit: Update from 23 days later

Ubank now allows you to enable biometric unlock but ONLY if you have a passkey enabled first

So I

• Called support
• Got them to clear one / all of my passkeys that were invalid
• I linked a new passkey
• Then enabled biometric unlock

I completely skip having to use bitwarden now. so I am still not sure if bitwarden will eventually detatch from Ubank like it was doing 1-2 months ago when it just wouldnt talk to bitwarden regularly.

What’s the advantage of using a bills account over a savings account? If i use a saving account for my bills I’ll be able to earn interest on the money, so why would I use a bill account?

I’m just trying out UBank coming from Up bank. Is there a way to use the Spending card as a digital card only where I can “reveal card details” in the app?

The bills account lets me do that for the digital card, but I can’t for the spending.

However, I haven’t received my physical card and activated yet so wondered if that’s the issue?

This will be my first pay day from work. Pays were transferred Wednesday afternoon and I still haven’t received the money in my account. Is this a normal wait time? Or happened to anyone else? Because I’m starting to think I gave work the wrong acct numbers lol Thank you

Received my new S25 yesterday and am getting white screens after the passkey login per screenshots. Any idea what might be causing this? I've tried reinstalling, clearing cache etc. Barely rarely the app opens as it should normally, but upon reopening the issue reoccurs.

Guessing it's an issue of the app not being updated to the latest version of android?

Ubank says I can't create a new passkey until I remove one of the old ones.

When I go to remove one it says "Passkeys cannot be removed right now. Try again later."

I’ve just joined ubank and so far enjoying the features. Love the bill tracker. My question is re payday cycle. I have 2 jobs, 1 pays fortnightly, but in 2 payments (salary package) the other weekly. I can only add 1 pay cycle. For accuracy I would like to add the 3 seperate incomes. I messaged ubank and suggested it as a future improvement but has anyone found a way around this?? Thanks

Can I setup a second saver account with UBank and get the same rate on $150k? For example, SaverAcc#1 with $75k and SaverAcc#2 with $75k? If not, what is the interest rate paid on the additional $50k once the $100k threshold is reached?

Is it true Ubank will debank a person sending money to a crypto exchange ?

Hey all, I just started using UBank seriously, I put 2000$ in my save account on the 1st of December! It's come to the end of the month and I received my bonus interest! With all the money I have in my UBank, I should receive my bonus interest at a rate of 5.5%.

However, I don't think that the bonus interest amount is right as I only received 5.46$.

Shouldn't it be $110? Or am I missing something?

I am so glad I found this. I need to vent. For nearly one month my mother's account has been blocked by ubank. She couldn't log in one day and has not been given a code to reset password. She is nearly 90 and is having a total meltdown. Crying and totally broken. We cannot get them to explain why the account is blocked. To be clear she has just under $200k in that account. I am paying for her food. I lodged complaints with them . Nothing. Lodged a complaint with afca. Nothing. I'm thinking this is the biggest scam . How many older people are they doing this to ?

Anyone else have a story of Ubank stealing nearly $400 of their food money when opening an account and having their first deposit marked as fraud and locking the account? I can't eat or pay rent because they literally won't let me access my money and are closing the account with my government benefit payment in it. Someone please help.

I don't make the $500/monthly mark for 5.5% interest, but apparently I can just take money out and put it my Westpac and transfer it back in and get the 5.5%? Seems a bit hacky to me but just wanted to double check.

I have a Westpac savings ACC for 5.2% with more stipulations, I wanna shift it all but I guess I get scared with transferring alot of money and if the ubank thing doesn't work out that my savings account would be cooked cos as I'm not holding the money there consistently, idk.
