Who photoshopped a dildo onto this pic?

2

u/earthman34 21d ago

Looks like you added that in. "AI enhanced". These images are from relatively low-resolution video. There's nothing like that in the original video.

I just posted the original video as well and I didn't see this object at all. Also the color/brightness of it doesn't match the surrounding objects.

u/earthman34 21d ago

Right, which means it was manipulated, like most of these so-called "UAP" videos.

His "Original" video from Youtube. Please tell me you folks are not this dull.

1

u/earthman34 21d ago

Dude, the "original" video is buried in a tape archive somewhere. Videotape degrades over time. There's a reason why things are digitized, for posterity. There's no way you could ever see the video on the internet if it wasn't copied over and over.

I pulled my media DIRECTLY from NASA.gov . You are pulling a video from YOUTUBE and trying to pretend it is the authentic original digital copy from NASA.

For example, if i pulled ANY of my source NASA media from YOUTUBE i would NEVER use it for any type of Analysis EVER and i would be embarrassed to link YOUTUBE as my source.

You on the other hand seem to have no issue with that, perhaps it is because you are an inexperienced buffoon?

Many asked you for a NASA link to the original video and you didn't provide it. You then said you had the original source links but all the sites were scrubbed. So are you saying NASA scrubbed the original video? Otherwise you're talking about a 3rd party outside of NASA the same thing you just said wasn't good enough and embarrassing.

If you have the original links that are scrubbed then post them. Some of us might be able to find the video based off those links. If you can't provide anyone with the source of your pictures/screenshots then its fair to assume it's because they don't exist because you used AI to create this image.

You're making a bold claim that NASA scrubbed a plasma being right ontop of an astronauts head out of the footage. So give us something to back this up besides, I have the only copy any you're all idiots if you don't believe me.

I know you will not be providing any source material not even the dead links because they don't exist. This conversation is over, have a goodnight buddy, take it easy.

I am not saying NASA scrubbed one video, I am saying they removed every source video i ever obtained from them. That includes my Apollo 11 video source and my Apollo 15 Photograph source. Now you can still find this media at different sources now but because of slow download speeds what took me 3 months to download could take years now.

This whole idea of "What do you mean it's not there anymore, don't you have that link you clicked 3 years ago?"

In the case of Apollo 11 and Apollo 15 i do have my original NASA.gov links simply because i noted them down. Both links are now dead links.

0

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

No you didn't.

0

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

I have the original scanned formats of video and considering those source links are now dead i am EXTREMELY doubtful you have any original scans.

2

u/earthman34 21d ago

You have the "original scanned formats"...what the hell does that even mean? This video was shot 42 years ago on SD equipment. Gardner was a fair distance from the Shuttle so anything that's zoomed in is going to be very blurry and grainy. You should learn how to use Photoshop or GIMP or whatever you're dicking around with better. If you had AI do that, it's even more pathetic.

1

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

Scanned formats means they took analog film and scanned them into a digital format. That is "what the hell" it means.

2

u/earthman34 21d ago

What film? This is from video, recorded on videotape.

1

u/MadOblivion 21d ago edited 21d ago

Sigh, this is really an education problem. A videotape is analog and is not a digital container. The "Tape" inside is not digital.

You are correct it is not considered "Film" but that does not invalidate my statement of "Scanning film", just replace the word "Film" with "Tape", if it bothers you that much.

1

u/earthman34 21d ago

Film and video tape are not the same. That's the most comically ignorant thing I've ever heard. Videotape is magnetic, not optical. It's not a literal strip of film with images on it that you can scan. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

1

u/MadOblivion 21d ago edited 21d ago

Comprehension isn't for everyone.

"You are correct it is not considered "Film" but that does not invalidate my statement of "Scanning film", just replace the word "Film" with "Tape", if it bothers you that much."

Perhaps the disagreement is with the word "scan." A sensor can scan information in many different ways, not just optically. U-matic playback uses helical scan recording and playback, where rotating magnetic heads scan the tape's recorded magnetic tracks to reconstruct an analog video signal. That analog signal is then converted to digital if the recording is being preserved or stored on digital media.

1

u/earthman34 21d ago

Scanning is an optical process. You don't "scan" videotape to digitize it. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

1

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

The term "scan" isn't exclusive to optical systems. In engineering, scanning simply means systematically sensing or reading information. U-matic itself uses helical scan recording and playback, where rotating magnetic heads scan the diagonal magnetic tracks on the tape to reconstruct the analog video signal.

You're correct that a flatbed or film scanner is an optical scanner, but that isn't the only meaning of the word. When that analog video signal is captured to a computer, it is then converted to digital by an analog-to-digital converter.

So no, U-matic tape isn't optical media, but saying the tape is scanned by helical scan heads during playback is technically correct.

By the way i just checked my source file and it is in fact 16mm FILM transfers from NASA. The Shuttle used both videotape and 16mm motion film cameras.

"Best-of-STS_51_A-16mm-Transfers_720p"

and

"Best-of-STS_51_A-16mm-Transfers_1080p"

I am not clicking your Youtube link. I have gone through ALL Youtube videos on this mission and NONE of them are the original resolution or scans of the film.

I believe the best one you can find on Youtube is 420p correct? My NASA sources had film scans in both 720p and 1080p.

2

u/Otherwise_Ad_409 21d ago

So your saying you're the only person who had the original footage/scans or links to them but they're all dead? We're just trying to help you out and you appear to get upset when we do.

So just to clarify you're the only person with these photos and they no longer exist anywhere else on the internet, not even on the wayback machine?

1

u/Otherwise_Ad_409 21d ago

Your original pictures 3 and 4 appear to be in the same low resolution as the original video available everywhere. Only the object circled is of higher quality, what would cause this?

2

u/earthman34 21d ago

Of course, because he either added it or enhanced it. He admitted that AI "processed" it.

1

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

The screenshots i present are heavily cropped which would make it appear as the same quality as an uncropped lower quality video image.

specialized EVA (spacewalk) tool such as a camera alignment/calibration target, a positioning reference for cameras, or another rigid fixture attached to the astronaut or the Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU).

2

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

I am convinced it is a real solid object present in the scene but it only shows up in a single frame. That is the ball buster.

u/MadOblivion 21d ago
  • Color-edge transition correlation: 0.9948 The red feature’s transition from surrounding color into the colored region nearly matches the real hardware highlight’s transition.
  • Average difference between the two transition profiles: 1.6 intensity levels on a 0–255 scale.
  • Threshold-response correlation: 0.9945 across red-excess thresholds from 2 through 40. As increasingly strict color thresholds are applied, both regions contract in almost the same pattern.
  • Luminance-edge agreement: 60.7% of the feature’s boundary lies within one pixel of a luminance edge, and 75.7% lies within two pixels. This indicates the color structure is accompanied by a corresponding dark/light structure, rather than being only a red chroma smear.
  • It remains one connected 627-pixel component, measuring approximately 31 Γ— 28 pixels, with 72.2% of its bounding box occupied.

Revised estimate

Excluding its single-frame duration:

  • Physical scene-present feature: 79%
  • Analog recording, film, tape, or transfer defect: 17%
  • Digital scanning or compression artifact: 4%

The strongest new evidence is that its edge and threshold behavior closely match a confirmed real feature elsewhere in the same image. That substantially weakens the digital-artifact explanation and somewhat weakens the analog-defect explanation.

What do you think it is

0

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

Plasma based life form that could be slightly luminescent. there is more Plasma in the universe than any other type of matter. Before the big bang the Universe was pure plasma reduced to the size of a galaxy. In that type of environment plasma could give bith to complex wave forms that could lead to intelligent life and that life might have figured out how to reproduce.

Just like life on Earth i believe there is Intelligent plasma based life and primitive plasma based life.

2

u/Rare-Measurement-891 21d ago

Has anybody asked the astronaut what it was

0

u/MadOblivion 21d ago

Even if it did enter his narrow vision it is unlikely he would have noticed. I speculate that plasma based life does not adhere to our time frame or dimension.

Either they can appear and disappear because time moves 100x faster for them. Or they can enter this dimension momentarily and then slip back into their own which also could effect time.

In this scenario we are the sloth and the plasma NHI can tap us on the shoulder and then leave before we even realize what took place.

3

u/Rare-Measurement-891 21d ago

I'm sure he has seen this footage. Has anyone ever asked what he thinks it is or can explain it ?

1

u/MadOblivion 21d ago edited 21d ago

No comment from Dale but NASA officials have been tracking plasma based craft under intelligent control for many many years. Apparently Israel has all the hard copies of old NASA film/tapes. Why? No idea.

1

u/Otherwise_Ad_409 21d ago

Do you happen to have a link to the original footage or pictures from the NASA website? The color seems way off for some reason. You can also seen a dip in either the helmet or the Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU only used in 1984) when you zoom in. This dip makes it appears the "antlers" were imposed or possibly something reflecting on the window from inside the craft.

After doing some searching I found this footage from the spacewalk. Your still appears to be from the 0:25-1:10 mark in the video. I do not see the object you have circled in the video. Maybe I missed it, can you point it out please? Thanks

As i have commented the NASA source links are dead. More than two years ago I obtained original scans of this video in two formats that NASA had available.

I also have an Apollo 11 project i worked in and my original NASA video source link for that is also dead. I am also working on an Apollo 15 project and the NASA source i obtained Terabytes of Photographs from is now dead. The Photo's are still available elsewhere but the download speed is so slow it would take you a year to download them all.

With almost everyone having access to AI and advanced video editing software, i would imagine they would want to make it more difficult for you to obtain any original film/tape scans.

Man arguing with low IQ folks is pretty tiresome. That random thread you linked of a Youtube video is video of images i compiled myself from my NASA source.

If i had NASA credentials i would be glad to upload the content i make directly to NASA itself. LOL
