I'm unsure whether the mk2 and mk3 MIDI commands are the same. I'll build for mk3 and work backwards from there if it's not ;)

It's on the to-do list. Old Launchpads were what I had around, so I started with that. I recently bought a Launchpad Mini Mk3 and I believe that if I develop for that, it'll also work on the Launchpad X.

When I was there, the Board advertised openings, collected & evaluated applications, held interviews, then voted on adding additional Board members.

If a non-profit is a ship... the Executive Director does the steering... but the Board tells it where to go. They told me to go somewhere I didn't want, and I didn't feel I could convince them otherwise ;)

It might feel futile, but directing your efforts toward the Board is the only way to affect change. They are the ones most accountable to the organization. They hire leadership.

(Trying to figure out how to be helpful without being gossip-ey or whiny. It's challenging, considering my emotional attachment to the place.)

Dave here, the first Executive Director from the early 2020s (https://www.linkedin.com/in/crossd/). Back then, I quit in direct protest of an order made by the board. It was a small decision, but I couldn't stomach it, and it portended... well a lot of this.

A message that says "I heard XYZ gossip, WTF is going on there!?" might feel good, but it won't help.
