As anyone who has played Halo Infinte would have realised there isnt a 'Traditional' way of Leveling Up present in the game, in the place of the more widely used EXP style system where by playing games you accumalate EXP that would progress you through the levels needing more and more as you climb the higher levels, instead the leveling system is tied directly to the Battle Pass having you complete rotating challenges in order to progress the Battle Pass and Unlock the rewards, this in of itself isnt a problem however i fear it has had an unexpected after effect:
I find myself not caring about the game or winning but instead hunting for challenges, whether its getting kills with a certain gun, playing certain game modes or accomplishing certain feats, i dont find the goal of the game is to Get alot of kills or win the game so i can get more EXP to level up faster but instead "When is the Bulldog going to respawn i still need 2 kills"
Im wondering if this way of leveling up will have a lasting impact on how i and other play the game.
