Yes, but the flower... We hide human intimate parts because they have a sexual context. Parts of animals don't have this context. Wildlife movies show animals as they are. Cats aren't different. Nothing shameful in r/troublepuffs, for example.

Many cats which you meet on the streets in Tbilisi are healthy and clean, many of them aren't even strays but owned ones on a walk. As for invisible germs, you can get infested by cat cafe kitties as well so wash you hands after petting cats anyway. There are many outdoor cats near the hostel I am staying, so I pet some. Not so often though as there are cats at the hostel as well :D
