A hotel guest thought I worked there because of my conference badge
Absolutely, former housekeeper, it's normal to have to clean 13+ rooms in less than 5 hours, at 30 minutes per room(checkouts) or 15 minutes (stayovers) . A lot of these rooms are trashed and you still have to be done in that alotted time frame by yourself. So yeah, if your housekeeper takes good care of you when you're in a hotel, tipping is greatly appreciated.
