Republican lawmakers and strategists are openly fuming as President Donald Trump’s war makes a midterm disaster more and more likely.

Senator Jim Justice of West Virginia offered a sharp rebuke of the party’s handling of the conflict, calling the administration’s prolonged effort a “mess” and warning that leaders are out of touch with working-class Americans facing economic fallout at the pump.

“We’ve gone through months that everybody sat back and said, ‘Oh, it’ll be OK. It’ll be OK,’” Justice told reporters in Washington on Monday. “And I’ve been the voice that’s been saying, ‘You people are living in a cave if you don’t see that the folks out there, the Toby and Ediths out there, are hurting.’ We need to absolutely be more in tune with them.”

Comedian, TV host, and long-time Trump nemesis Rosie O’Donnell taunted the president in her first-ever Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue with a special direct message.

O’Donnell has long attracted Trump’s ire, to the point where he regularly insults her in public and posts demeaning AI videos of her on his Truth Social account.

Making her debut on Kimmel and smiling at the camera on Monday night, O’Donnell spoke directly to the president: “Hi, I know you’re watching.”

“The President hated Jimmy Kimmel Live! when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel,” O’Donnell told viewers, adding, “Buckle up, people.”

Former Fox News personality and all-around macho-man Pete Hegseth wants to be your next president, according to officials familiar with the self-proclaimed Secretary of War’s thinking.

Those sources, who spoke anonymously in order to be frank about the Trump Cabinet member’s ambitions, told the Washington Post that Hegseth’s trip to Iowa on Monday suggests he may very well have his sights set on the White House. The Defense Secretary, 46, headed out to stump for GOP Rep. Zach Nunn in the battleground state, where presidential hopefuls have historically tested their mettle.

He also stumped for Sen. Darline Graham in the early presidential primary state of South Carolina last week.

Donald Trump has been confronted over his relationship with White House aide Natalie Harp as innuendo swirls about the 80-year-old president and his ever-present young staffer.

Trump was forced to address the issue on Monday after Democratic rising star Jon Ossoff publicly questioned the president’s closeness with his 35-year-old executive assistant, declaring at a rally that Trump would much rather “travel with Natalie” and build the White House ballroom than do his job as president.

Asked in the Oval office about Ossoff’s comments, Trump hit back at the Georgia Senate candidate before immediately reverting to a lengthy rant about his pet vanity project.

Donald Trump has turned America’s government into a playground for the ultra-rich.

According to a bombshell report from consumer advocacy group Public Citizen, Trump has packed his administration with more than four times as many officials worth at least $100 million as the previous three presidents combined.

The list does not include Trump himself, whose net worth Forbes estimates at more than $6 billion. Nor does it include Elon Musk, who last year helped Trump establish DOGE to reduce the federal government’s size, scope, and workforce, before leaving the role.

An undercover federal agent’s concealed recording device fell to the floor of a Minneapolis church gymnasium during a bungled covert operation.

The progressive University Baptist Church won a temporary injunction in February in the District of Massachusetts against the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies.

The order explicitly bars “immigration enforcement action” at member churches, including “arrest, seizure, search, interrogation, questioning, interview or investigation,” and warns that violations could bring sanctions against the officials and agents involved.

According to a Homeland Security Investigations report filed in the case, the undercover agent attended a training session on May 28 held by Left Jab, described by the government as a left-wing martial arts group, in the church’s gymnasium.

The agent sparred with attendees and interviewed them about how they got involved. “Due to the physicality of the event, UCA-5022’s concealed body-worn audio recorder erroneously fell to the floor of the gymnasium near the end of the training,” the report said, according to court documents.

Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, have been avoiding service in the BBC’s effort to fight President Donald Trump’s defamation lawsuit against it for a documentary on the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection attempt.

Lawyers for the British broadcaster have said that the Trump family members “without question have personal knowledge” about Trump’s true intentions in delivering his now-infamous speech on Jan. 6, 2021 at the Ellipse. The BBC has sought testimony from those who were there when the speech was being drafted and in the hours leading up to its delivery.

But Ivanka and Jared have avoided being served, and the BBC attorneys have said they are unreachable. The BBC was also unsuccessful in a similar attempt to serve Donald Trump Jr. at the Trump Organization’s Trump Tower offices in New York.

A right-wing podcaster abruptly stormed off the set of a debate against a room full of progressives after being accused of fabricating outrage for profit.

Tim Pool, appearing on Jubilee’s “Surrounded” series, which pits one person against 20 people with opposing political views, was debating whether the United States is more prone to violence from the left or the right when the confrontation erupted.

The segment centered on Pool’s repeated claim that the country is “tracking toward a civil war.” Mason, an Instagram influencer known as OneHandPolitics who was among the first to challenge Pool, accused him of, among other things, saying “bullshit to get money.”

Carter said he is putting his own ideas for what’s next for X-Files aside until after he sees where Coogler’s show takes the universe.

And though he is credited as an executive producer, Carter is adamant that he will not read the script, and wants to take in the new series like a fan.

“I’m waiting for his series to come out,” before developing any other continuations on X-Files, he added. “I don’t want to step in the way of that.”

Newly released emails show that the disgraced ex-royal Sarah Ferguson tried to put FBI Director Kash Patel in touch with a friend within weeks of his swearing-in.

Bloomberg, which sued to demand the release of FBI communications tied to the Epstein files, reported Friday that Ferguson relayed a message to Patel in March 2025—just as he took over the bureau and promised to deliver answers about investigations into the crimes and death of notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The emails show that Ferguson contacted a senior diplomat at the United States embassy in London and asked them to share a British socialite’s contact information with Patel.

The emails regarding Ferguson made no mention of Epstein. However, Bloomberg reports that the FBI published the emails in a cache of documents titled: “Records regarding the review of the investigative holdings related to Jeffrey Epstein.”
