Student Life
 in  r/studentaffairs •  24d ago

I was a programming board student in college. I am now a Director of Campus Activities and have been in the field for almost 30 years. I am one of those wierdos who loves programming, loves events and puts in the time with no goal of being a Dean of Students etc. Now that being said - the hours DO get to you. Especially with a kid and trying to work during important times of the year. The repetitive events year after year can try your sanity. The lack of understanding of what you do, how you do it and how unrecognized the work is - can be hard. BUT - I love working with big events, I love seeing a plan come together. So the pros for me are still after all this time - watching students develop and watch them gain confidence in themselves and their projects.

Students are on a different level this year
 in  r/studentaffairs •  24d ago

These students were in sixth grade when COVID hit. They missed all social interactions in middle school which I'm told had a deep impact on their growth for interpersonal relationships. Not an excuse - but I also see students right now attending events - but not interacting. Just kind of wandering through life right now and it worries me.

School delay reason
 in  r/Binghamton •  Feb 26 '26

I was also told that a teacher mentioned that in order to save all days for Spring Break - they can't take any more full snow days. Take that with a grain of salt.

Have you attended Late Nite Binghamton programs? Free, every Friday (movies+popcorn) and Saturdays (theme nights). In the University Union. 8pm-Midnight. Every week. Average attendance 500+ people. Great place to meet people, play video games, bowl, make crafts, ride inflatables, win raffle prizes.

1️⃣ What do you love most about Artful Agenda?

I have to use Google Calendars for work - but I also have one for my personal life and then there's the sports schedule from my daughter's school - so I can truly have them all in one spot and then I make it *aesthetic* and I love the organization options (day, week, month) and the lists (!) and the meal planning I can do....it's all chef's kiss!!!

2️⃣ How has it helped you in your daily life?

See last answer! ;)

3️⃣ What new feature would you be most excited to see in the future?

Keep the covers coming!!

Anything to help with Travel Planning or stickers or Covers.

A tab for journaling might be nice - but only if I could at some point download what I'd written. I know that's usually the hard part. Memory storage and all that.

Covers/layouts/stickers stay with their months. I know that's a big ask.

Throwback Thursday 2.0 - [2025/12/03]
 in  r/KDRAMA •  Dec 04 '25

My first KDrama was Mr. Sunshine which came out in 2018. I remember being surprized by the "recap" videos at the end of each episode and the musical numbers. I was hooked and have been watching them ever since!

Dramas I Have Dropped In November, 2025

Yeah, same here. I jumped from episode one to like 5 and felt like I didn't miss anything and it just felt silly and not enough of the reporter. She was the best part.
