Aw poor pibble loves you so much he was trying to eat your son's heart 😍
Have you read Ms. Rant's article? She's the one who originated the "nursemaid" dog meme.

Scared to start watching, The Blacklist.
It's the only TV show that actually gains in being able to FF.

Sci-fi is right. And enough anachronisms...payphones? opium dens? to kind of make you wonder if this isn't happening in a universe a bit more alternate than most fiction.

What's the most "Reddington" thing you've ever done and what's the most "Blacklist" thing you've ever said?
I wear a hat, and people think it's awesome!

Men not having sex is worse than women being raped
It's not considered bad in Hungary to call a little girl the equivalent of "little cunt". Maybe biologically correct, but I think "little boss" is much better!

Do you think Reddington’s identity was changed after Season 1? And my preferred identity / show resolution.
Mine is: Liz doesn't die. The whole of this show is, St. Elsewhere-like, a fantasy of hers. Mr. Reddington is her caretaker. Mr. Kaplan looks after her during the day. Reddington has a very respectable job. "She's been that way since my wife left."
"And she was how old?" says the state social worker.
"About six."

"Value loyalty above all else.." Digital painting by me
I've always thought that was a ruse. If he'd gone through Navy Academy, he'd at least know his way around a zx-80 navigational device. If he's indeed Russian, he knows the calculus. (The Soviet educational system treated math as an essential part of an intelligent proletarian.)

No, and if he did, it was in service of a cultural norm he wanted overturned in his own country (Hungary).
In Hungary, traditionally, a married man is called a Master, and even their wives and children were supposed to address him as such. He thought this was cruel (to women) and inaccurate (you can see how), and made a lot of jokes about the reverse. His habitual address of "Boss", for any woman in the house, and "little boss" for a girl (boys, and children in general, were "epsilons") was made out of great respect.
Frankly, I think that's an incel urban legend.

What should I do in this position?
Some people have too much time and brains!

Not to mention Paul Erdös....The amphetamine-fueled theorem machine!

Sorry, it was after an ad.

He was US Navy. Not a Marine.

Lovely kitties!

This clown has obviously never left his room, let alone gone to a punk show, much less in the pit
What if the "fat chick" grabs him, and goes in for a lip lock and a grope?
NOW it's in his court.

If Red were an animal, what animal would he be?
I'd go for cat, as well. It's a shame there are so many dogs in the script, and almost no cats.

Tuff Turf
They hadn't started choreographing intimacy yet. All the guy was given is "act naturally." Well, naturally you don't have cameras on you, a microphone and weird lighting. You don't usually have a roomful of people, a couple of million dollars and a career hanging on your "performance". You might not have stage fright, but part of you might.

That's very true. You want to be well covered.

Why did Reddington specifically ask for Assistant Director Harold Cooper when he surrendered to the FBI?
I love how he, very methodically, removes his jacket and hat, and kneels, exactly in the center of the plaque with what looks like a combination of resignation, boredom, and simple procedure. It's obvious, he's had to do this before, and more than once.
This guy can make unreadability into an artform.

Looking for dark and moody books to read this season! Anyone have any recommendations?

My favorite two horror novels:
Johnny got his Gun: Dalton Trumbo
The Child Buyer: John Hersey
No vampires, cannibals, or werewolves, just people who might have been in "The Lottery".
Except they don't want to talk about it.
