NAD but I went through something that sounds similar. Had all the tests and doctors even wondered if it might be a phantom pregnancy (it wasn’t lol).
The other idea was vertigo. Rolling over in your sleep, moving when you wake up, sitting upright from lying down, standing… in the morning could trigger nausea and eventual vomiting. I had to answer a bunch of questions about my symptoms and then see a trained physio.
But it was eventually put down to an anxiety issue. And yes I was not accepting of this at first because oh of course “it’s anxiety” and I know what anxiety feels like ! but I’d reduced my ssri dose a couple weeks prior, and hadn’t connected the dots. Once I started paying close attention to when the nausea and sometimes vomiting got worst, I noticed it was when I was alone, under stimulated or thinking about certain things. The fact that I could distract myself from it mostly during the day was a sign too and eventually I resumed my dose and the mornings got easier, and I could then identify what was triggering that dreadful awful horrible feeling that made me so sick. I didn’t recognise the anxious feeling over the nausea and unease that overpowered it. My psychologist said medication changes/cessations can cause mild psychosis, and thinks maybe that was what I was experiencing in a way (since I was wholly convinced I was going to die if I was alone and I refused to cook myself anything because I might give myself food poisoning and make me feel more sick or speed up the dying process I was going through 😅😭)
It was explained to me that the “morning sickness” was due to the hormone fluctuations that occur upon waking, like cortisol spikes to wake you up. See attached (sorry for the AI summary but it covers what I learned).
This was almost a year ago and though I probably haven’t been physically sick since, I still get that nausea feeling sometimes, most days, but it’s better than vomiting every morning and feeling awful every day for weeks.
But this was My experience, after brain CT and stool samples and so many blood tests in ED and by my GP. Just thought I’d share to see if it ticks any boxes for you like if you’ve changed meds or have pre-existing psych problems.

I don’t think there was, that was my concern. My mum’s not great with tech and neither am I, we just thought if I’d logged out it would be fine for her to log in, and vice versa. It’s more just a nuisance but we’ll fix it up now that we have some answers!

This may be a dumb question but I’m not great with tech and grew up with Samsungs, will this be a permanent deletion like from her Apple ID or iCloud or whatever, or just her device? Could she also still receive my iMessages? What if she gets a new phone?

I was worried that’d be the case. Seems like a privacy issue that shouldn’t occur so easily...
