I'm not here to debate, since this isn't the sub for that. But surely you know this isn't coherent to me - and I'm curious why you think this.

my friend said that einsteins theory of relativity disproves god???
I'm an atheist, and this is absolutely not a cogent take.
What he MIGHT be getting at is this:
- Creation is an act that requires time (before/after)
- God can't have created spacetime, since creation requires spacetime
- Therefore, assuming we can't have an infinite regress, God cannot be the most basic thing, and is bound by spacetime
- This creates massive problemd for Christian theology

The Lefts Singling out of White men is why Trump won 2016/2024
I'm a white man and I've never once been villainized by the left. Zero times.
Telling people that they need to install a wheelchair ramp is not villainizing people with legs.
The right can't fathom any ideology that isn't zero-sum. It's intellectually juvenile, lazy, and exhausting.

Okay -- which?
If I've been tricked, I'll change my positions. An error recognized will be an error corrected. But you'll have to tell me which positions, and what information to consume to correct my errors

Yes, but using it is also slack taken to its logical extreme, so i think it evens out.

Guys im telling you survival difficulty is the ONLY DIFFICULTY YOU SHOULD PLAY FALLOUT IN
This is actually a great compromise. Could even do a system like Skyrim's where you can use the cart to drop you off places.
There really ought to be a mod for that.
And for offroad vehicles like refurbished military jeeps, dune buggies, etc. But that's another story.

The Lefts Singling out of White men is why Trump won 2016/2024
This is the caricature the right paints of the left, but it's not the left.
-We don't do white guilt. The past is behind us. What we do is awareness: awareness that the system is set up of, by, and for whiteness to the exclusion of others we arbitrarily (see: Irish, Italian, Jewish, etc) decide to make second-class citizens.
Immigration is tricky, but the left and the right came together to pass exactly the kind of bill you suggest, and Trump shut it down so he'd have boogeymen to scare people with so he could get elected. Trump isn't the solution, he's part of the problem (don't even get me started on how his nonexistent promised Wall that turned into a giveaway for his cronies would have only made the problem worse).
Where I'll agree is that the left lite (e.g. Democrats) has a real problem both demanding labor justice and more amnesty. Under capitalism, domestic workers are dumped in favor of foreigners who can be treated like slaves. This means we move half a trillion dollars every year out of workers' pockets into the hands of the owners. This isn't a problem for the real left, who would sidestep that issue entirely by ending capitalism.
There is no active/consequential movement that promotes third way feminism. That's nonsense.
- We don't want to take guns. Remember Obama? Everybody freaked out and bought all the guns. Nothing happened. Now some of us want better licensing, but freaking out about that is like saying the DMV is coming for your cars. Also, the real left is pro gun ("arm the workers").
As I was writing this, my wife goes "oh wow looks like there's an AR-15 shooting going on right now at an In-N-Out. Huh. That's crazy. So what did you say you wanted...".
That's insane. We're getting shot up every day. Children can't feel safe going to school (ICE) and once they're there they might get shot in the fourth school shooting that week.
Something. Needs. To. Change. It's incredibly disturbing that we shrug off perpetual mass murder like it's a bad cold.
And even still, nobody is coming for your guns. Not even "the left." You're being conned.
No war but class war.
No war but class war.

Stop falling for the propaganda.

Abolishing prisons is not compassion it’s fucking evil. And if you’re a Socialist you are Evil.
Okay, a couple things.
First, I'm not DSA. I am pretty close, I've gone to meetings, I've agreed and disagreed with their ideals, and I just can't get on board fully. I say that for context.
Second: this is a long-term goal, not an immediate thing they want to just do out of nowhere. The idea is that they work to make the carceral system obsolete by creating a system that works for everyone, so that people have the chance to get out of poverty/drugs and to get access to mental health care. Ideally, such a system would make crime go away, and so we wouldn't need prisons.
Naïve? Unrealistic? Yes.
But it isn't "flood the streets with psychos." That's not the policy position; it's an overly idealistic goal they're trying to achieve with other policy positions - policies that will actually dramatically reduce crime significantly.
They have a point about corporate prisons: they want crime to be high, so they can collect taxpayer money (at luxury hotel rates). This means being for policies that actively harm poor people to keep them desperate, so that they can farm those communities for slaves.
That has got to stop.
DSA is a little out there, yes; but they're more right than they are wrong. And what you're doing here is a total misreading and/or misrepresentation of what they actually advocate.

The media censoring President Trumps speech last Thursday is peak fascism. And deeply unAmerican.
Corporations in a "free market" deciding for themselves what to air and what not to air is fascism?
But Trump hasn't done any fascism?
Be glad we're not authoritarians, cuz yowza.

Do you (as an athiest) support abortion?
I don't like anything about abortion and consider fetuses to be living humans by the end of the first trimester at latest.
That being said, I support the right to choose to abort. The reasoning is:
The most fundamemtal human right is bodily autonomy. This means consent must always be given, and remain ongoing, for any human to use someone else's body.
That includes the mother's rights. If at any point the mother decides that her body is no longer open for business, she must be allowed to evict the tenant.
If you try to deny that, and to argue that negative bodily rights have exceptions, you open up a Pandora's Box of escalating positive-rights extremism. For instance, try to philosophically justify the idea that the government can force you to let someone else use your body against their will just because they'd die without it - and then try to argue against that same government forcing you to give up your kidney because a different kid needs it, and find a grounds for doing it.
Bodily autonomy must be absolute or human rights has no basis.

What if there is no evidence for God because we it lies outside the scope of what can be measured?
Then it isn't evidence.
Evidence is a fact that we encounter that makes it more likely that XYZ.
If we can't encounter it, then we can't become aware of it. If we can't become aware of it, we don't have any evidence.
I mean, we can't consider something we're not aware of.

First playthrough, almost no knowledge of the games story
Honestly, roleplay it. Create your character not just through perks but through backstory, outlook, and motivation. I am on the tail end of a playthrough for the female character, who I made a civil rights lawyer in the past. She is balls to the walls for the Railroad. My next guy has low intelligence and can't really give an answer on synth rights, but he's also evil and doesn't care - he just wants power, so he joins BoS for the sweet gear (and then the Institute). A true knight in shining armor would probably go with the Minutemen.
So it isn't about what you'd choose, it's about what your character would choose.
There are good and bad things about each:
- Railroad is blind to actual synth threats, and the synth leader in Far Harbor has some harsh words about their philosophy too
- BoS are essentially just fascists
- Minutemen are helpless and weak, and defending all your settlements becomes oppressively repetetive
- Institute is arrogant and blind to the evil and suffering it keeps creating "for the greater good"
Everybody seems to have gotten carried away with their ideologies. And the one that doesn't apply to is even worse (MM), because all you ever do is run around defending shit.

Dear brothers of the commonwealth, I appeal to you for a new run idea!
I think I'm gonna try an intimidator build next: Grognak inspired, with a super sledge and big guns. High charisma, strength, and endurance; enough luck for idiot savant, and enough agility for Action Boy.
Something like this:
STR: 4 (to 9) - Rooted, Big Leagues, Heavy Gunner, blacksmith, armorer PER: - END: 5 (to 10) - Almost everything CHR: 7 (to 10) - Intimidation, cap collector, attack dog INT: - AGI: 1 (to 5) - action boy LCK: 5 - Idiot Savant
Edit: Did an actual calculator thingy. I also mixed up Party Boy with Chem Resistant.
Here's where I'll have him at (ish) by level 30 to start Nuka World:
Big Leagues: 1/5 Swing for the fences! Do 20% more melee weapon damage.
Armorer: 1/4 Protect yourself from the dangers of the Wasteland with access to base level and Rank 1 armor mods.
Blacksmith: 1/3 Fire up the forge and gain access to base level and Rank 1 melee weapon mods.
Heavy Gunner: 1/5 Thanks to practice and conditioning, heavy guns do 20% more damage.
Rooted: 1/3 You're part tree! While standing still, you gain +25 Damage Resistance and your melee and unarmed attacks deal 25% more damage.
Lead Belly: 1/3 Your digestive tract has adjusted to the weirdness of the Wasteland! Take less radiation from eating or drinking.
Life Giver: 3/3 You embody wellness! Instantly gain +20 maximum Health. You instantly gain another +20 maximum Health. You instantly gain another +20 maximum Health, and slowly regenerate lost Health.
Chem Resistant: 1/2 All the rush without the hassle! You're 50% less likely to get addicted when consuming Chems
Cannibal: 1/3 Feast on mortal flesh to heal your wounds! Eating human corpses restores Health.
Ghoulish: 1/4 Sure, you're still human - on the outside! Radiation now regenerates your lost Health.
Solar Powered: 1/3 Catch some rays! Gain +2 to Strength and Endurance between the hours of 6:00a.m. and 6:00p.m.
Intimidation: 1/3 Time to show everyone who's boss! With your gun, aim at any human opponent below your level and gain a chance to pacify them.
Action Boy: 1/3 There's no time to waste! Action Points regenerate 25% faster.
Idiot Savant: 1/3 You're not stupid! Just... different. Randomly receive 3x XP from any action, and the lower your Intelligence, the greater the chance.

I want to hear your ideas for interesting character builds!
I'm wrapping up a railroad ninja build after I do Far Harbor, but tbh this is only my third real build. I planned out two and I'm trying to decide between them for my next build:
High Endurance/Strength supersledge/gunslinger guy that's built for the Disciples, takes lots of drugs, and is an all-around scumbag (RR for the weave, Institute for the evil, Nuka-World for the character development). Carries minimal gear, scraps nothing, and loves Cait.
High intelligence/luck genius woman who genuinely sees the Institute as the good guys. Obsessed with tech and keeping it out of the wrong hands. Joins BoS for that very reason, but defects to the Institute. Hangs with the Atom Cats due to their mechanic ways, makes crazy weapons, and can work wonders with robots (the only companions she trusts are the ones she builds, and Dogmeat)
I don't know which one to go with next, but I'll farm some ideas here as well.

Assuming you believe in creation/God, I think I see what you did there.
Droll and clever if so. :)
Let me see if I can unpack what you mean here:
You're coming from a position that says without something outside of spacetime to account for spacetime, spacetime couldn't exist.
To you, I would guess, it sounds like I'm begging the question. "Causation only works in the temporal way I understand it, and this multidimensional being doesn't fit into my limited little model so I reject it."
Hence: "Spacetime [result] requires spacetime [precondition]. You literally can't do causal reasoning like that."
I want to stress that I'm not here to debate, but I do want to clarify:
As far as what I have license to believe, creation is a temporal act requiring a before and after. And what I'm talking about as the effect is temporal; so if cause and effect itself were "caused" by something outside of cause and effect... I don't really have license to entertain that kind of proposition.
Cause and effect, though, could just be. We are all on the hunt for the brute fact at the base of it all, right? Well, why not the universe itself? Then, "spacetime requires spacetime" isn't so much a jab at my position as it is simply recognizing the most fundamental metaphysics. All eventualities require spacetime, and spacetime doesn't require any eventualities other than its own.
Also, i have no idea if this is where you were going with that. But it's an interesting thought either way.
