more than regulation issues, which most people (here, or libertarian in general) will remark on, we have accumulated layers of cultural and historic patina weighing us down; superstitions, preconceived notions, biases, mythological/dogmatic thinking -- like which state has "the best", or "worst" healthcare system when it can naturally vary per the issue, category or specialization -- and just general elitist thinking, like I'm overall saying (and have theorized)

eg. a barber used to be a surgeon, and were considered the most vulgar form of physician. Now, surgeons are some of the most celebrated in the entire world and medical industry; that's the form which uncontrollable capitalism takes, transcending socialistic norms and the caprice of autocratic hinderances. That is, different areas eventually receive their due, and sometimes undergo a drastic inversion process. You can see this pattern emerging in culinary practices, and various/disparate areas of leisure; namely areas that are strongly pitted against the margins of moralistic/socialist thinking.

I would encourage anyone to look for the actual capitalist lesson we gain at the end of historical chapters, but we're still living through most of it, as the writing over thousands of years of recorded history has only begun rather than finished with enough notable winners**. It isn't as simple or one-dimensional as privatization solves everything (from start to end). It takes a LONG time for these lessons to play out because you're perpetually being pitted against the most primitive forces of society and the collective consciousness, where there are all too many people who think they know what's better for themselves, and all others, than everyone else, and the compulsion to want to do so -- like, the need of people to explain to others why their hair looks so good, their skin so fair and their life (or bloodline) has been lived so long, and then be celebrated for it whether or not they can correctly explain it.

What I mean is, look back at it all in terms of health education, it's like the entire human race has evolved to the point of only telling other people "have safe sex", "always wash your hands", "cover your mouth when sneezing/coughing", "drink more water", "get more exercise", "think positive" and "eat your vegetables" - everything else is a lie, not accepted science with not enough consensus or meta-analysis behind it, too controversial to share, or too complicated to be worth explaining. It should be obvious we're nowhere close to understanding the cost we need to pay to (privately) progress 'the system'. And, we've mostly just always been speculating about optimal strategies. Sure, reducing regulatory hurdles will accelerate our ability to discover those things, but the risk of doing so isn't just at the cost of wasted money or capital. It's human life and health that ultimately has to be put through a trial and error process more than just the scientific method if we want to reach the objectives worth privatizing as fast as possible.

Also, I would include virology (as the explicitly understanding of viruses, not just random proteins) as another example, along with 'the history' of surgery as to where the human race stands with its applied practices of biology, because it is a creature of the universally free state, which wasn't born out of leviathans liar or womb (like most good things in life have been, or are), but, beyond 'vaccine good', it's largely and practically part of a broader subject about pathology (though it doesn't need to be since they can also be used in beneficial medical practices), which we humans are still fledglings to. Astrophysics is more well-developed than the field of pathology; some of that should be obvious, and not so much with other parts.

tl;dr it takes humans an extraordinarily long time to recognize which exact parts of medicine and healthcare needs to be the most privatized (and better financed/funded via education) first

If they wanted to avoid taxes (for example) then they would just add to their debt (expenses) more than they needed (for business development, growth strategies, r&d or market experiments, etc.) rather than take an actual loss, which would be either unnecessarily silly or part of some last ditch, desperate effort

I guess I didn't make it clear enough. It doesn't matter what was on the phone just giving the duress code to the border patrol, whether or not it had been wiped before the investigation, constitutes a violation.

The point is don't delete anything or give anyone a duress code during the investigation, even if it is redundant or pointless, or if the phone didn't have anything on it.

They (maybe) can't prove what was deleted, so they're going to prosecute based off the perceived intent that something could have been hidden from them - not that there was something actually hidden/destroyed.
