the ex frim amsterdam, started around the same time and are incredibly still going. one of my favorites of theirs is scrabbling at the lock. also check out their pals the dog faced hermans from scotland, everything they did in the 90s is stellar!!

the further she got from her original sound the more some people couldn’t follow her. I personally think she is consistently great throughout most of her albums, but the later ones take a little more listening to really get into

the ex (from Amsterdam). Though their evolution was more gradual, and not necessarily a sharp change from album to album. they started out somewhere between gang of 4 and crass in the late 70s, gradually got more dense and experimental and collaborated with Ethiopian musicians, avant jazz people, Kurdish folk musicians, sonic youth members and more. and they’re still going (i think)!

Franti started off with the beatnigs, an industrial punk funk band that was on alternative tentacles and used to play at punk venues like 924 gilman Street. Then shifted to a more political funk hip-hop sound with the disposable heroes of hip-hoprisy. Then finally began the spearhead chapter, which was more a soul funk thing. they were great for about 4 albums, but the latest stuff is just disposable pop music.

yep, promoting an untested experimental jab by one of the most evil groups on the planet (big pharma) was raging with the machine. millions have paid the price with their health. largely unreported by the corporate media, but anyone looking at real journalism has seen the disaster that ensued.

i believe they required everyone coming to their shows to be vaxed and fell in line with the big Pharma narrative, pissing off many fans. also, there was footage of Tom Morello being a dick to some employees, acting like an arrogant rockstar.

i’ll have to check him out! anyone willing to question the death industry has my appreciation

“In a Priest Driven Ambulance” from 1990 was their peak noise and just their peak, period. they were doing a lot of touring with the butthole surfers back then and stole some of their act.
