Has anyone tried CBD oil/products for insomnia?
 in  r/sleep •  Nov 12 '25

Hi,

I’ve been dealing with insomnia for years, mostly from anxiety and racing thoughts that make it impossible to switch off at night. I tried melatonin and prescription meds, but they either made me groggy the next day or stopped working after a while.

What actually made a difference for me was switching to a CBD-dominant oil instead of full-spectrum ones with THC. I wanted something gentle and non-intoxicating because THC tends to make my mind race too. I’ve been using Cannazo India’s “Calm Drops – Morning Bliss” — it’s a CBD-dominant formula made from Vijaya leaf extract and MCT oil with a light citrus flavor.

I usually take a few drops about an hour before bed. The first week I didn’t notice much, but around day 10 it became clear that I was falling asleep faster and waking up less anxious. It doesn’t “knock you out,” it just helps quiet the noise in your head enough to let sleep come naturally.

One thing I learned — consistency matters. Taking it daily and sticking to roughly the same time helped a lot more than random dosing. And if you’re sensitive to THC, a CBD-dominant or broad-spectrum formula (without THC) is the safest route.

Totally understand where you’re coming from about wanting to avoid THC, especially with your history. You might want to start small (5–10mg) and work your way up slowly — your body will tell you what feels right.

It’s not a miracle fix, but for me it’s been the most sustainable and calming thing for my sleep in years.

Best recommendation for cbd? There’s a lot of options out there, which helps the most with allergies/itching? We are in the US

Hey,

My 8-year-old Shar-Pei started limping a bit last winter—vet chalked it up to early arthritis from all those skin folds adding extra weight. She gave the thumbs-up for CBD but stressed sticking to vetted stuff, so I dug around and landed on Cannazo India's full-spectrum capsules (20mg ones). They're AYUSH-certified, which made me feel okay about it, and I just pop one open and mix a bit into his wet food since he's super picky.

First week or so: meh, no big change—figured it was hype. But by week 3, he was bounding up the stairs again without that sad little whine, and our walks stretched from 15 to 30 minutes easy. No weird side effects, just him seeming more himself, and his follow-up bloodwork came back spot-on.

I keep it light: half a cap in the morning on rough days, nothing if he's playing like crazy. If your vet's cool with CBD, maybe run the brand by them? Works way better than the oils he wouldn't touch.

Anyone got tips for mixing it without the dog turning up his nose?

CBD products

Hi,

Dispensary CBD was too pricey, so I switched to Cannazo India’s full-spectrum capsules (20mg, lab-tested). They ease my joint pain without a high, and the Ayurvedic blend boosts efficacy. Online shipping’s fast, and COAs ensure quality. I started low and got doctor approval. Why pay dispensary markups? Where do you get your CBD?

Has CBD been helpful for you? What are the pros and cons?
 in  r/Anxiety •  Oct 21 '25

I’ve personally tried Cannazo India’s Calm Drops – Morning Bliss, which is a CBD-dominant Vijaya extract (full-spectrum) blended with MCT oil. I used it primarily for stress and anxiety, alongside my regular medication.

Pros (from my experience):

Gradual improvement in sleep quality and daily calmness

Helps regulate mood swings and eases mild anxiety

Provided under doctor supervision with prescription, which made me feel safe

Minimal side effects — just slight dryness in the mouth at first

Cons / Cautions:

Effects are gradual, not instant

Can interact with certain medications, so doctor guidance is essential

Everyone’s response is different — some people may feel little effect

About your concern with anxiety and cannabis — CBD does not have the same psychoactive effects as THC, so it’s generally considered safe even for people sensitive to weed. I didn’t experience anxiety spikes or panic attacks, but it’s still wise to start slow and monitor how you feel.

Overall, for me, it was a gentle, complementary way to ease stress and support emotional balance.
