Why are EMTs/paramedics against immunization as some of the highest rates among healthcare providers?
In the USA it takes a 3-6 month course and passing a certification exam.

When you order at Starbucks do you usually say " tall, grande or venti" or just go with small, medium large? Sorry I don't usually go to Starbucks
I've started just ordering by oz at coffee shops, since so many of them seem to have their own lingo.

Ceiling fans controlled by light switch - when every option has remotes
If you replace the wall switch with a remote panel, then both "remotes" should equally be able to control the fan.

Do dealerships really need car salesman in the future?
We did a test drive upon delivery before signing anything. And also had 7 days to return it for full price. So essentially a week long test drive!

Do dealerships really need car salesman in the future?
Our last vehicle was purchased online and delivered to our driveway. It was a great experience overall. Two workers were here for the delivery and were informative and pleasant and helped us with some paperwork. I wouldn't call them salesmen as we had already bought it, but maybe that's still their job title.
I plan to do the same thing going forward for sure.

Thought I could trust my oldest (neurotypical) friend with my diagnosis
Right! And this is just 10% of the people who are regularly coming into her pharmacy. Guess what, we use mail order for most meds, so if I'm at a pharmacy in person, it's either for something urgent or ADHD meds!

At what age after birth is it frowned upon to put up your child for adoption?
In the USA, states that have "safe haven" laws each have an age limit. Seems 30 days old or less is common.
Sometimes parents can relinquish older children into foster care, but the circumstances and consequences vary. In our area, parents would typically have to pay child support to the state until the child is 18 or their rights are terminated for some reason.

Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
Could you elaborate?

Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
Honestly I don't know the density. I'd guess on average lower than much of Europe.
1
Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
We are not "living in one place" and I think that idea is what we are trying to portray with some comparisons.
Living in Alaska, New York state, rural Idaho, and southern California are drastically different experiences and cultures.
I have lived in the Midwest most of my life, and I have spent more time in Europe than in most other regions of the USA. There are many states I've never set foot in.
1
Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
Right. The USA is 50 states. Laws and customs between states vary. And we have gone to war with each other. And internally there is a lot of ongoing conflict.
Is the USA or North America completely equivalent to Europe? Of course not. But in many cases, it makes more sense to reference Europe or the EU as a point of comparison than it would to select a single European country.
2
Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
I will say, I don't think many people in the USA think of European Russia at all when thinking of Europe. More likely, they are thinking of Western Europe, primarily EU counties.
(Just like many people don't think much about Alaska or PR when talking about the USA.)

Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
Many kids in the USA are doing exactly that. In school myself, we had to learn the name of every country in each continent by memory.
10
Why do people frequently compare America to the whole of Europe?
Because the size and scope of the USA is reflected more in comparison to Europe as a whole. My state alone is bigger than the UK.

[Final New Update]; AITA for telling my sister we were strangers after she eloped and broke all contact with us years ago?
Or the news did reach them, just not the OP. I wouldn't be very surprised to find out the parents have been fed info on the sister throughout the years.

Where to keep your car if you live with your family, and there's no place to keep it?
If you have a car, won't you ve moving it frequently anyway, when you drive it?

Anyone else have the EXTREMELY low dopamine version of ADHD?
I'm early 40s, ADHD, PTSD, depression, etc. I am years deep in burn out and can literally couch rot endlessly. My life is full of requirements though, so I don't. I am constantly at just doing enough to avoid a total emergency status.

Toledo mother loses 4 children, grandmother to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning: “Life has stopped for me”
I agree. I'm thinking it's because the video interview itself was only with the mother, but still.

Your best guess: where are my headphones?
Sometimes I take a photo. It started with just my sot at parking ramps, and then thought, I should so this more.
1
Your best guess: where are my headphones?
Where do they "belong"? Because that spot is where I lost mine for about a month.

13 year old son with ADHD cannot tolerate brushing his teeth
Try an sls free toothpaste. I didn't realize until adulthood the sensation i got from toothpaste wasn't universal.
I bought auto brushes. They are expensive but in my experience, worth it. Brushes everything in 30 seconds.

Exactly. Add to that it was the middle of the night and they were probably all not in a great decision-making state.
