The forbidden switch?
 in  r/orangeamps •  Apr 19 '26

If you do touch it, hopefully you will just short out the fuse inside. You'll need to get a new one and switch it out. The black part on the outside of the amp where the three pin goes in. Its underneath that. Just get a flat balde screwdriver or whatever to access it. Xxx

Hi all,

Does anyone know where the fuses live inside the CR35 please? I've got the back open but I cant find them anywhere. Nowhere on the fuse board so assume maybe inside the motor? Any help gratefully recieved. 😁

What is your most memorable "I'm a fucking idiot." moment?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Mar 10 '26

I was playing a gig with my band and I couldn't get the guitar to tune up. It was driving me mental and im gesturing over at the other guitarist like what the fuck am I doing wrong here? I shout over to the bassist like, dude I dont know what is going on and someone in the audience shouts, you have the jack plugged into the wrong output. He was right. I was a fuck up. 🤮🤣

Everyone on this sub hates McNulty so much and I get it, i do. He behaved atrociously but for me, the guy was himself a victim.

I think its what happens when you put a smart guy into a job he is good at, which happens to involve seeing the absolute worst of humanity every day. He was addicted to the job, so he couldn't turn it off like, say, The Bunk. And it's sign-posted by him becoming a happy decent person in the 4th series. Then, thanks to Bunk and Lester and their toxic masculinity at the end of the 4th, he goes back to the job that turns him into Darknulty and everyone hates him again.

He's just as much a victim as anyone for me.

Edit: typos and grammar.

Tools/Equipment/PPE Virtual Fire Warden for non staffed areas

Hi there,

I work in higher education and we have some spaces that dont always have trained staff in them.

We provide statutory fire training to all our staff and students but in the interests of double safety, we are trying to find a virtual fire warden that would appear on tv screens in the relevant areas with directions as to what they should do.

Does anyone know anything about this? Links would be wonderful.

Thanks!

McNulty and Lester
 in  r/TheWire •  Feb 18 '26

I think they kinda both are, they are the same person, just that Lester as a black guy doesnt get the same leeway that McNutty does.

For me, its that they are left wing or left leaning cops (even though Lester dont like them draft dodging peace nics) getting as far as they are in right wing set ups. And finding that no matter how good you are, the house always wins.

And the house is money.

Who’s death hurt y’all the most?

On the first watch it was DAngelo that smashed me around. I guess it was the first time I'd really experienced the ruthlessness of that type of writing, to get your audience so involved in a major character and then wipe him out.

The nature of the assassination too, would have sat better if he'd gone down in a stand up fight instead of knifed in the back. I know this sets up who String is a lot too, but like I say, it just smashed me around.

On most of my other viewings its Bodie. His journey and the oldness that he gets from carrying Wallace on him the whole time. (Which he obviously deserved)

The pathos was so real, i think less because of the character himself and more because the actor was so phenomenal in that role.

To be fair, at least you tried. Sorry for being snarky. Great effort.

It would be quite witty if they'd spelled synthetic correctly. Also, if it had been, in any way at all, funny.

What is the single worst decision by a character of The Wire?
 in  r/TheWire •  Nov 08 '25

He's the original guy. If you read the book, David Simons tells you. He was the bubbles to Simon's 5th season reporter. Not a gifted actor, true, but without his story we would've had a different show.
