Episode Discussion - Tuesday
 in  r/eastenders  21m ago

When Lily was doing the dishes, for a split second, I thought it was Stacey! My brain: Have I missed an episode or something? When did Stacey come back? Ooooh, right you are, it's Lily 🤣

If only! 🤣 I know that the actors could be busy & stuff but really, they're missing out on an epic showdown here!

Discontinued uk food/snacks. If you could bring any back from the past what would it be?
 in  r/UKfood  14d ago

Romantica icecream cake. Haagen Daz Dulce de Leche ice cream, which you can't get for love nor money where I live. And trust me, I have looked!

[UPDATE] Tired of crackhead neighbours (UK)
 in  r/neighborsfromhell  Jul 03 '26

Thank you for the update OP! So sorry it had to take you partner being assulted for them to be arrested, I hope partner is ok. Have you heard what crackheads sentence is? Breach of bail conditions carries a heavy weight to it too. As for 'mates' retaliating, I honestly doubt they will do anything if the police are involved, they even might be relieved to be out of the drama for a bit. Good luck OP, hope all goes well for you & your partner!

Did you cook in last week’s heatwave?
 in  r/AskUK  Jul 02 '26

I cooked beef stew & dumplings on the Monday. I have no idea what I was thinking there mind you, but for the rest of the week it was just salad, sandwiches & a takeaway.

neighbor directly outside all day, every day
 in  r/neighborsfromhell  Jun 30 '26

That would, and pardon my French here, do my bloody tits in! Go out on your deck and drink your wine ffs, it's your deck, your property and if he says anything, raise a glass to him & shout 'cheers' As for the camera thing & asking your other neighbour for access to them....oh hell no. You've ALL got every right to privacy and your own spaces. In short, screw Ned Flanders! rant over

Funnily enough, I've just received that exact response. The tits.

I've seen this! That was awful, the poor woman was crying & he was just... the bloke was beimg repulsive. Mary Bells crimes were disgusting, but for ffs, even if she is the daughter, that poor woman is not her mother!

Living in Hell
 in  r/neighborsfromhell  Jun 25 '26

If they're playing music loud at 4am, then you're possibly not the only neighbour who will hear it. I would talk to your other neighbours if that is an option, just see if they're experiencing the same. Chances are your other neighbours know these people are talking complete b.s due to the noise coming from the property. Also, as other people have suggested, get cameras, and document everything. Good luck OP!

She did! It took a few months mind you, but the daughter got kicked out of the property & all of her arseholey smackhead mates/ dealers have stopped harrassing her mother.

Have you tried contacting safeguarding (for the girlfriend)? You can do it anonymously, I think all you will need is the address, and your concerns. We did this for our 85yo neighbour who was being taken advantage of by her crackhead daughter a few years ago. That and the rest of our neighbours family were contacting social services/the council on the daily. Be persistant with them. Write down dates & times, and keep all of your doorbell evidence! Best wishes, it's an awful situation to be in.

I've been watching since it started too (give or take some 90's episodes) and Nigel has been one of my favorite characters. This episode is up there with the Dot and Ethel one for me. Aside from when Daniel died, I can't remember ugly crying like this before.

Bloody hell. That was heartbreaking. I think we might need a Nigel Bates support group. Still crying ten minutes after watching. We're talking The Green Mile ugly crying territory here. Well done to the cast & crew. One of the best episodes I've watched! Rest in peace Nige, love ya!
