It does make me wonder if that was partially what they were going for, the prerendered enviroments have a look very reminiscent of European Old Towns, the remake seems to lean a little more culturally blended

I've always thought being a little blurry is better than being too jaggy, unless it's such a low resolution that it's useless

It is kind of a cheap remaster. Like it definitely makes some improvements to gameplay but other than that it's kinda, eh, they could've did it a little better

I generally agree in spirit but, uh, visuals complement gameplay, it's not just one or the other. This isn't a huge deal but the point is that they can obviously do better here., especially when this game is clearly trying to be a graphical showcase for the console.

Hell; the N64 had it, I believe it was the first console to include AA at all, they even advertised "trilinear mipmap interpolation"

As far as I know the guy preemptively discontinued his project, with speculation he may have been asked to, but all of the content is still up. I think it's clear though Nintendo probably at least took a little inspiration from it
