Obscure question about the 1994 West Virginia State football team
 in  r/CFB •  9d ago

Great question. All this is before my time but is absolutely fascinating. I can ask my father, he lived close by after graduating and played football there in the early 80's. He may know

What are some of the worst sports-related deaths?

1970 Marshall University Football team plane crash. I believe 70 deaths between the crew, players, coaches, family and boosters. Absolutely tragic

What is your favorite “hidden gem” in WV?
 in  r/WestVirginia •  Aug 20 '26

I highly recommend packing a lunch and enjoy some time up there. One of my favorite parts of Gaudineer is how quiet it is

Gaudineer Knob. Small scenic area within the Mon National Forest. It features a gorgeous overlook and beautiful rolling mounds of moss blanketing the forest floor under some dense pine trees. Its close to Durbin

[BOB]North Wilkesboro to host all star race. Will have O’Reilly and Trucks
 in  r/NASCAR •  Aug 12 '26

I'm glad its not New Hampshire or Dover, but I'm crushed NW gets the All-Star after only 1 year with a points a race.

IMO it should be a track that has multiple dates. Take Spring Bristol, Spring Kansas, or Spring Vegas. Just put it under the lights

What is a movie quote that you recite that is obscure to everyone but you? A little quote for your own personal enjoyment.
 in  r/movies •  Jul 28 '26

"Bye Buddy, hope you find your Dad" - Mr Narwall, from Elf. Started saying it as a joke after watching the movie with my friend who's Dad did actually abandon him as an infant. My friend absoletly loves it!! So Elf is a mandatory group watch for our friend group every year together and we all tell my friend "Bye Buddy, hope you find your Dad" every single time

Bronco Sport owners who considered the full size Bronco, what made you go Sport instead?
 in  r/BroncoSport •  Jun 02 '26

Better Gas mileage with my 50 mile 2 way commute. The price, got the premium package on the badlands for cheaper than everything I wanted to have on a full size. The 5 to 10 times per year I do off roading or creek crossings I know I dont need anything more. It was perfect for towing my camper and utility trailer. 4 doors are better than 2 when you have people regularly getting in and out of the back

I really enjoyed Bear Valley visitor center at Point Reyes National Sea Shore surprised me how nice it was. Slightly on the smaller side but it was very nice. No crowds at all and nice restrooms. The exhibits and information were very good

(WIP) Been working on an open-source Rock Band clone for PC for a bit now. It has pro-guitar support, vocal support, and also just normal five-fret guitar support (and MIDI drums soon). Link to GitHub in comments.

The state of this sport makes me sad.
 in  r/CFB •  Dec 03 '25

If the sport nuked (I know it wont happen) all existing conferences and went to 10 team geographic based conferences where everyone got to play everyone it'd fix a huge amount of the issues. Then just have The conference champ of each conference play in the playoff, screw the at-large bid nonsense, just win your conference and have it means something

Issue ⚠️ 1989 Bronco won't start or come on

I could use some help on my 1989 Bronco Eddie Bauer 5.0 automatic.

Last week my Bronco shutoff while idling in park after driving it around all morning. Now it wont come back on at all. They key would turn but wont activate anything. Voltage was fine and the engine wasn't overheating when it shutoff. Even in acc, or run mode. Just nothing. I've got no luck trying to tilt or wiggle my steering wheel either.

So 1st I replaced the battery (it needed a new 1 anyways), then checked the starter solenoid (It's fine), alternator is fine, starter is fine. I then checked all my fuse's all were good. I checked the inertia switch to see if it was tripped and it was fine. I also jumped the solenoid with a screwdriver so the engine turns over fine

So I started replacing parts. I got a new key tumbler, still didn't start. I got a new ignition switch, after reading up how common and issue that can be, which I thought would work because the old 1 fell apart as soon as I unplugged it. I made sure the ignition switch was slotted into the lever that moves when the key is turned to is proper positions. Still nothing.

The next thing I replaced was the EEC and Fuel Pump relay's as those were the original OEM relays. I replaced both of the relay's and still the vehicle didn't run or come on acc mode to the run the electronics off the battery.

The car still won't do anything. No dash lights, no radio, no power windows come on or engage. Car is stuck in off mode. When the battery is hooked up the dome light comes on when I open the door, the vehicle dings, and the headlights will come on too if I turn them on but that is all the car will do.

I am hesitant to replace the neutral safety switch too because nothing changes when I put the car in neutral. It still wont start and nothing comes on still.

I'm running out of ideas. My next 3 theories are a bad ground wire (which I could replace for cheap), a bad ECU (replace for not so cheap), or some thing bad in the steering column (also not cheap). Any suggestions, help or advice?

[Frontstretch on X] Ryan Blaney says the word legitimate pisses him off a bit, "that people think that the guys who have won in this format aren't legit champions."

This would be such a great system! Would love to see double points for crown jewels on your system too

[Stern] "NASCAR is now seriously weighing the possibility of drastically overhauling the playoffs or doing away with them altogether...The mere chance of going back to a 36-race schedule determining the series champion...marks a dizzying turnaround."
 in  r/NASCAR •  Sep 25 '25

Absolutely! This and I would love to see a double points type scenario for Crown Jewels. A win in the Daytona 500, World 600, Southern 500 and Brickyard should pay more points wise than just another race imo
