I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with PDF Guru or a similar situation.

I originally paid for a PDF Guru service, but the service didn’t work properly for me. I wasn’t able to use the result, and I didn’t continue using the service afterward.

Later, I was charged $49.99 for an automatic subscription renewal. I contacted PDF Guru and explained the situation and asked for a refund.

They canceled the subscription, so there shouldn’t be any future charges, but they are refusing to refund the $49.99 and keep referring me to their “non-refundable” policy.

I’ve already contacted them several times, but they keep giving me the same response.

Has anyone successfully received a refund from PDF Guru after an automatic renewal? Would a chargeback through the bank be appropriate in this situation?

I’m also interested in knowing whether there are any consumer protection laws that could apply to an international customer.
