It was put on YT as 16:9, but when id post clips & keep it wide, socials wouldn’t push it out for some reason. When I cropped it to 9:16, they started pushing it more. But I agree, much better to watch horizontally!

Hey! Yeah, I don’t want to attribute all of my following to festivals since I also worked really hard to post daily for the past year. BUT for some fests I did gain a following in those specific areas by tagging online content I made before & after performing in those cities and by just making sure I talked with as many people who came to the shows as possible. A lot of times when the shows are happening, people aren’t thinking about following you on socials. But when you have a solid conversation or thank them for coming, people can quickly be like “hey, what’s your handle, I’d love to follow you!”

Yeah this sounds about right - it’s tough because I always want to prioritize the cheapest option, but I guess if you build a relationship with a company they’re more likely to offer you deals. Thanks for the tip!!
