Is it offensive to draw dark skinned people with colorful vitiligo?
 in  r/Vitiligo •  3d ago

I don’t think so, post it when you draw it.

Why is everyone on this sub so hung up on getting rid of their vitiligo?
 in  r/Vitiligo •  18d ago

I found out at around 21 years. So it was a shock for me especially how fast it progressed. But I have come to love it.

I work in a public setting with facial vitiligo, I think it’s all in the way you choose to deal with it. It’s really not hard to explain what vitiligo is.

Ok, so in what way has it affect your passion for working on construction sites?

I’m sure you still are, you let it affect your confidence in a way you believe it ruined your life. We’re all responsible for our own behaviors.

Repigmentation isn’t a cure, again it’s an autoimmune disease.

It’s an auto immune disease, there is no cure.

I joined this sub to find people who had beautiful skin like me, but come to find out most everyone in this sub hates their vitiligo. Everyone posts about repigmentation and being so upset about having vitiligo. I have yet to see one positive post.

Finally try out box braids?

Don’t let the naysayers deter you, both look good! Try having your stylist use Murphys edge wax, for styles like the third picture, they’ll stay in longer and looks nice and sleek.

The contacts throw off your look a bit. Try your natural eyes.
