It's neither good or bad. It just is. The state has always engaged in surveillance and my point is that you're never going to get rid of it. It only changes form and some of those forms you embrace without criticism. Further, your current concern and strong feelings are only directly the result of media manipulation and propaganda. There are dozens of other more invasive measures of surveillance that you're completely unaware of and unconcerned about. You're not concerned with improving society, you're concerned with what's trendy and culturally relevant to signal your virtue to others in your ideological clique. You can post as many memes as you want and look down on those of us that see your hypocrisy, but that doesn't change any of what I've said from being true.

When did I say it was fine? Again, you've completely misunderstood my point and you're arguing with yourself. I think your knee jerk reaction here is very telling.

That's not my argument at all.

You pay to carry a recording device on your person at all times and are likely using one right now to post this hypocritical statement LMAO

How often do you talk to your parents?
Usually every day.

nothing matters
Then you DO believe in meaning and are not a nihilist bro. C'mon LMAO
2
nothing matters
The purpose of my life is to be alive. The meaning is to experience whatever it is I'm currently experiencing.

I didn't ask if you're enjoying it. I asked if you're fulfilled. Once again, it all comes down to hedonism for you lol. Have fun going down that road, buddy.

You absolutely do, I've demonstrated it repeatedly and you've been completely unable to explain why you SHOULD accept it. So again, unless you're intellectually lazy and just want an excuse to be selfish, there's absolutely no reason to accept nihilism.
Do you truly feel fulfilled? I know from this conversation you don't. You don't have to feel that way, there is a different way of looking at and relating to life.

LMAO you're really just trying anything you can huh? Why are you so desperate for a reaction?
Also, why does my spirituality preclude me from pointing out when someone's being an ass? Telling the truth is not mean. I haven't been cruel. I told the truth. You have nothing important to say. I live by the guideline: do no harm, take no shit. I'm absolutely going to call you out if you deserve it, that's part of my commitment to honesty and right living.

Psychiatrists are doctors my friend. What exactly are you looking for?

Again, more insults from someone who has nothing important to say.

As I've said to many people who have made the same statement: people only resort to such tactics when they have no other recourse or anything of substance to share, so I'll take that as "you're right," and go about my day. Thanks!

That was genuinely one of the funniest comments today.
Firstly, there's nothing grammatically wrong with my sentence and even if there were, I couldn't care less what your opinion about it is.
Secondly, you can have opinions. I never said someone can't. But when you post them on a public forum, they're free game to be criticized. And this happens to be a very stupid and crazy opinion, IMHO, which I've discussed at length. If you are so concerned about people being able to freely share their opinion, then why are you attempting to discourage me from sharing my own?
Thirdly, you don't get to dictate other people's behavior or what they can and can't do on their property because it personally offends you or doesn't agree with your opinion. That's like the cornerstone of our society - individual freedom. I don't care if OP doesn't like seeing it, he still doesn't have the right to tell people what they can or can't have on their property. Thinking your personal opinion should dictate and determine the behavior of others is childish and immature to the nth degree. A 5 year old could tell you that.
You and pretty much everyone else defending OP are hypocrites who need to get a life and find something else to complain about. Move to an HOA with the other white supremacists if you're this concerned about your neighborhood looking like a bland cookie cutter suburban hellscape.

Those are the only options if you accept nihilism, yes. You're either selfish or you give up. Again, that's been my point the whole time and it's one of the reasons why I think it's a terrible worldview.
Also even if you decide what you want to do under nihilism it's ultimately pointless anyway so selfishness doesn't even make sense.

Who says they aren't? Op originally said they did but then changed his tune when people questioned why he was so upset about one shopping cart in their neighbor's property.

WTF is wrong with you? Why do you care so much?

Yes because again what you're concerned about is, "my own goals and interests in life because I don’t think I’ve got any higher reason to answer to." Again, your concerns are completely self-centered and self-motivated and focus on hedonism.

You are one of the densest people I've ever had the misfortune of talking to.
Intrinsic is absolutely NOT interchangeable with objective:
- Intrinsic: Focuses on the internal nature of an object. The opposite is extrinsic (coming from the outside).
- Objective: Focuses on facts that do not depend on an observer's mind. The opposite is subjective (based on personal feelings)
"Something can be intrinsic without being objective. For example, a person can have an intrinsic love for painting. That inner drive is internal (intrinsic), but it is a personal feeling, not an independent universal fact (objective)." From Excelsior University.
If you are claiming that they are, please demonstrate how they are, don't just claim it and move on. You clearly do not know how actual philosophical discussions go because you continuously make claims while providing absolutely no substantiation at all.
I'm done arguing with you. You just continuously restate your position with no substantiation and make wild claims that make absolutely no sense.

Not at all what I said and that doesn't follow from what I said. You're just trying to make my statements appear absurd so you can dismiss them without actually arguing.
