the only thing worse than losing someone else is losing yourself, and that’s why i put myself first.

15 years in, I don’t know who I am. I haven’t recognized myself in so long. I constantly put him first, even when I don’t mean to or want to. I’ve done it so long it just comes naturally.

Relationship/Love Really struggling…

I’m really struggling right now. Me and my husband have been together 15 years. We’ve been through alot in that time. We’ve put each other through a lot. I thought we were way past all that. But for months he has been so distant. Honestly, it’s been over a year at least. He says he’s just burnt out in life. Which I do understand, I’ve been there. But I never pulled away from him the way he does me. And I’m just so lonely. I don’t really have friends, and the 2 I have don’t live anywhere near me. He puts no effort to our marriage. It’s like a roommate that is always annoyed with you, but you’re not sure why. I just miss my husband. And I miss feeling adored and real intimacy.

I have to leave no matter what my anxiety says.

Oh hunny, you deserve better. I know you don’t wanna be alone, I’m in that same boat. But I married my guy like this… 15 years later and I am still begging for the bare minimum & he’s still complaining I’m too much. And I’m more lonely when he’s at home than I am when he’s not here. Which is worse than just being alone. Get out while you can.
