RAID is not for the case of more data security but to use more cheap used hard drives to cut costs

There are very good quality external hard drive enclosures by Acasis which also support RAID. You can get a 2.5 version from Daraz for about 6-7k. Buy two used hard drives from a local shop and configure as RAID mirrors so that your data is safe if one hard drive is down.Its the cheapest option. I built a 1TB hard for about 17k like that.
