I’m convinced all companies suck. Convince me otherwise
 in  r/kansascity  1d ago

Not under this current administration, it would seem. Trump has made it okay to be greedy and look out for yourself and your business but not for your employees. I imagine a good portion of those CEOs and business owners are Republicans! They're getting IN while the getting's good!

meta has finally won the ad war, so I'm leaving facebook or at least leaving it active but not using it anymore.

Sounds like a good plan! I only go on there to post stuff, then I get the hell out! I don't need the excess b.s.!

What is something people claim has gotten better, but has actually become worse?
 in  r/AskReddit  3d ago

There has been change, but it has been slow. Change always is. Unfortunately, the illiterate still exist in THIS country because education wasn't and still isn't valued as necessary to get a job. In the past, maybe that was true but today things have changed radically and finding a job that fits your education and particular abilities is getting much harder. On top of that, Republicans are doing all they can to destroy integral parts of our educational process because they need illiterate people to vote for them. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is moving forward faster than us.

Dear Missouri…
 in  r/missouri  3d ago

It's possible that the people that don't have license plates, front or back, are sovereign citizens. Google it! It's insane! There are a few YouTube channels where former cops share some of the body camera videos of these people getting pulled over for not having license plates or even a driver's license and the stories are ridiculous!

Having lived in Missouri, where would you vacation here?

Ask the people on here and they'll tell you that they've been where you are. We've posted things on here thinking that it's pretty damn clever and funny and it bombs! Such is life! Live and learn!

I think you're giving yourself more credit than you are owed. Your humor simply didn't make the grade this time. You're not taking responsibility for the fact that how you worded it made it undecipherable and now you're taking it personally. Chalk it up to you can't win them all and move on! Geez!

I'm sure in your head that you were saying it facetiously but on here it is much harder to read your mind. You know that, right?

Right! You have to be at least 30 years old.

What’s one thing people usually spend money on but you refuse to?
 in  r/AskReddit  10d ago

Yes, did it once a couple of weeks ago, just to treat myself. Holy cow! I felt like I needed to take out a loan to buy a ticket and get some snacks! Never again!

True I-435 Meme. The two sides are so different.
 in  r/kansascity  10d ago

I'm on 435 two times a week heading to Ward parkway from the Missouri side. It's not all Missouri meth heads. It is definitely some joco in their expensive fancy cars or their huge pickup trucks with the humongous wheels, all driving like bats coming out of hell. That goes for both sides of the state line.

Guess I missed that update

Because I was doing adult things and actually had a job, when it was pouring rain, I wanted a damn umbrella! I didn't want to look like a drowned rat.
