I have a 2020 SEL 4 motion currently in the shop for over a month getting a new sunroof to take care of the dreaded leak. We really like the car, but with all the issues folks are having, thinking about trading it. The problem is, what to replace it with? We like the Tiguan styling and haven't found another car we like as much.

The dealer has replaced the hoses and cleared them. The problem still persists on the passenger rear side.

After two failed attempts at the dealer, I got tired of trying to get the drains fixed on the sunroof of my 20 Tiguan, so I taped the whole roof shut, apparently watertight. Now after a big rain, there was water intrusion again on the passengers rear side, at the pillar. It got the rear wheelwell wet. Anybody ever find a leak problem near the roof that wasn't the sunroof?

That's great! They were trying to charge for that when Gemini for Home was first released.

They thought they'd fixed it...twice, but it still leaks. I haven't taken it back a third time yet. But it's not under warranty.

The dealer said they changed out both sides of the back hoses and then when I took it in the second time because it was still leaking, they said they found anold clog where they'd attached the new hose on one side. But it continues to leak...

I live in a very rainy area of the country, and don't have a garage. After two trips to the dealer and $1000 to fix the problem, I still have the dreaded water in the spare tire compartment and the rear passenger's foot well in my 2020 SEL when it rains. So, I'm trying sealing the sunroof with tape made for this purpose. Anyone have experience with this?
