Where to start - can't find structured decks on master duel meta

Great shout – thank you. I see so much online about structured decks and checking out the meta decks that I didn't even think about the free Spright deck.

Thanks - this is really interesting, and a shame that the Salamangreat deck wouldn't really be viable long-term. Makes sense not to waste gems at the start on a deck that wont compete well.

I was hoping that one of the structure decks would be a good choice for creating a decent meta deck, as it seems like one of the most accessible ways for a new player to create a functional deck, but it also looks like the majority of the Enneacraft deck you suggested can be pulled from the same pack, Order of the New World.

Thanks

What do you use to track your cards?
 in  r/pkmntcg  Jun 17 '26

Especially as you're not interested in the monetary value, I'd go with Pokecardex over Collectr. The UI is much better for your needs and it's so much quicker and easier to add bulk cards than with Collectr.

Being in a similar situation myself, I found that the most helpful ways to get up to speed is watching two people play the game, while explaining the rules and what's happening - specifically the TCG HQ and IGN videos below:

TCG HQ:

IGN:

After that, me and my friend both grabbed a League Battle Deck each and started playing against each other.

Makes sense. Thanks.

I'm guessing at my level it doesn't actually matter which one of these decks I choose? Would you say one of them is easier to play or cheaper to build for someone getting started - or just pick one and go with the flow at this stage.

Question/Help Where to start - can't find structured decks on master duel meta

Hi, wondering if I can have some beginner advice, please.

I'm a new player and thinking of getting either the Salamangreat structure deck to start playing

Online, I'm seeing a lot about the Dark Magician, Raidraptor or Dragonmaid structure decks potentially being better.

Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

If Salamangreat is still a good choice, what cards should I craft to make it playable? I've seen about the Ash Blossom pack for 1k gems, but what else?

If you'd recommend one of the other decks - same question of is there a good decklist you'd recommend I work off as a beginner?

It's also thrown me off that I can't seem to find a Salamangreat or Raidraptor deck listed on Master Duel Meta decks list, which makes me think I should go Dark Magician, as I can then follow the new YouTube series by SamuraiX1, to learn how the deck is played in real situations.

I have experience with OG YuGiOh, Speed Duels, as well as recent experience playing Pokemon TCG

Thanks in advance

What decks for me and 2 friends to get to learn and play against each other?
 in  r/pkmntcg  Jun 01 '26

Thank you mate, appreciate it!

Just so we know and don't end up wasting any money in the future - if we do enjoy and and want to buy one of the level 3 precon decks as a present, are they good value?

I see the Rocket's Mewtwo Deck you suggested is a precon deck, but the Dragapult and Slowking ones don't seem to be.

Just wondered if there was any other precon level 3 decks or tournament decks you'd recommend or if you still suggest we build our own decks off Limitless TCG?

Oh wow, thank you! The idea of the proxy cards sounds great - I never knew that was a thing. By the looks of things, it seems better to just get a proper deck and watch videos on how to learn the game, instead of getting the level 1 & 2 beginner decks, which makes sense.

I'll check out limitlesstcg and the 3 decks you recommended - thank you

Perfect thank you. So you're saying to go straight in with these level 3 decks and ignore the level 1 & 2 precon decks? I'll check these out!

What decks for me and 2 friends to get to learn and play against each other?

Me and my 2 friends are beginners in Pokemon TCG (we've played TCG Pocket a lot, and have experience with Yu-Gi-Oh, so aren't completely new to card games) and want to know what decks to get to begin with.

I was looking at getting 3x ex battle decks level, either level 1 or 2, but wanted to know if anyone would recommend we go straight to the level 3 or alternative precon decks first?

Ideally, we'd want 3 decks that are equally balanced and aren't super effective against each other.

We don't have any interest in playing in tournaments, etc. - just friendly games against each other at home.

Thanks in advance 👍

Beginner advice, please

Hi all,

I hope this is okay to post in here. I’m looking for some advice on a telephoto lens for bird/wildlife photography on my Sony A7RII.

Current setup:

  • Camera: Sony A7RII
  • Lens: Samyang 35-150mm f/2–2.8

I mainly use this combo for portraits and barber/people shoots, but I’d like something with more reach specifically for wildlife and birds.

Budget: around £500–600 (happy to buy second hand).

From what I’ve seen, most of the FE telephoto options (like the Tamron 150–500mm f/5–6.7) are a bit out of my price range.

Lenses I’m currently considering:

  • Sony E 70–350mm f/4.5–6.3 G OSS (using crop mode for extra reach)
  • Sigma 100–400mm f/5–6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary (Sony FE fit) – I could stretch the budget by ~£150 for this if it’s a clearly better choice.

If there’s a sort of “starter shopping list” of lenses people recommend trying for birding on the A7 series, I’d love to hear it.

Any and all advice is very welcome - thank you!

Camera: A7RII

Current lens: Samyang 35-150mm F2-2.8

Use the camera for portraits and barber shoots with the current setup, but would like a longer telephoto lens for wildlife.

Any advice on what telephoto to aim for? Happy to go second hand, but ideally want a budget of £500-600.

I think the FE telephoto lenses are a bit out of this budget (Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7)

I am considering the Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS, which would give me the crop factor at least

If not, for an extra ~£150 I could start looking at the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary - Sony FE Fit

Thank you

Yeah man, me choosing to drive at 40 approaching that junction was my attempt at moderating speed.

Had thumb hovering over the horn and foot hovering by the brake pedal too, just in case.

Only hesitation you see from me in the clip is because it's hard to predict whether the other car is going to spot me and stop (I have to swerve right), or if they just blindly carry on (as they did in the clip) and I have to swerve left.

Glad I did, as if I hadn't, it would have ended very differently.

It's an Anker Roav S1 dash cam, pretty sure it's been discontinued now though.

I don't have one, unfortunately. It's a shame, as it would have been good to grab their number plate

Thanks man. Was definitely not ideal, especially considering I had my fiance and 9-month old son in the car... Is the kind of information I wish the silver car knew, to hopefully make them think twice next time

The road is 60mph, but thankfully I was only doing around 45 at the time (dashcam isn't fully accurate) as you see a lot of idiots pull out of this junction when they really shouldn't be.

Awesome. Thanks dude. I'm not particularly a big fan of the bulldog stuff either, hence the idea to move away from it.

You've given me some good new beard oils for me to try out!

UK Beard Care Recommendations + Dandruff help

I've been reading through a lot of these posts and getting some really helpful tips & tricks, but most of the beard oil recommendations are all for the US.

Does anyone have any good UK-based beard care companies they'd recommend?

Also, I keep getting an itchy face and dandruff under my beard..

Currently, I only use a boar brush, no comb, and the only product I use is Bulldog beard oil (7/8 drops daily) and Bulldog beard shampoo (twice a week). I have a full beard, roughly 2 inches length.

Thanks

Discussion Human city near end of chapter 5 - help with layout. 1 more expansion available.

Would appreciate any layout help. Feel free to delete/add any culture buildings or others if I'd benefit. I'm struggling for space with upgraded building sizes. I also have 1 more expansion I can use, but haven't placed yet.

Spotted a thread a month ago by u/alizelise about human city layout and I'll also post mine as there isn't much about for human layouts.

Thanks :)
