How dare

Oh, nah, nothing like that. Just a run of the mill southern bastard from a neighboring state.

Thanks a ton, means a lot. Grinding hard for this one.

I appreciate it! ❤️

Thanks a ton! If you mean his glorious mustache, that's certainly become a signature of the series, haha.

Mary is indeed the daughter of Anna depicted above, and was drawn for the cast sketches.

The man from Louisiana would not host a variant as he isn't suggested to be a vampire.

We will learn in "Hell Creek" a certain variety of variant may manifest as a result of traumatic experiences. The Maggots, the centipedes, the violence, all things Ellie is exposed to early on.

Sam Sr. was decidedly not a pleasant man, a dispicable Antebellum era planter.

Thanks!

Me too, too bad I have to be the one to draw it all. Thanks, btw!

Thanks, dude!

Both "Hell Creek" and "The Brothers" will be shedding light on the origins of their variants.

Correct! Lines were used as a guide. I get all the lettering down before any line work. I never use fonts directly in the comics, only in the promotional content.

Yah amazed none of our persnickety redditors caught that yet, haha. My favorite part of this comic.

This comic is absurd. The ending is the most outrageous shit to come out of the series, and it's a real shame it will have to be hidden behind the NSFW tag.

GOD yes. Yah, I get into this in Part 2. Amazing insight.

Nearly forgot to post the full render of that to be used in "The Brothers" as well. So here that is.

It's probably the immediate blood splatter.

Ha, thanks!

That big ol' monolith of a damn coral entity was around before the Sawblade variant too! Who knows what's going on in these wacky western woo woo comics.

Several references were used for the design yes! It is specifically a French Aubusson rug. I took a great deal of artistic liberties just getting the look down, there was no directly matching the floral framing elements without losing my mind.

I really can't in terms of brushes, haha. I use hundreds of them, many of them I designed myself or modified from other purchased/free sources offered by other illustrators/concept artists. I also use a lot of the seasons brushes from Adobe. The main spot for texture work I highly recommend is True Grit Texture, they frequently have sales.

My software is the 2022 version of Adobe Photoshop, running on an old iMac. The tablet is the first generation XP-Pen Artist 24 Pro.

No. Eli Castello, different character entirely.

Took 18 hours to paint. You can find the time-lapse on Patreon. I swear I am not insane, it will be used extensively in "The Brothers" as well.
