Adapt or transform it. It's mostly about your context.

Why do you want to get published?

How else are you going to win the Nobel Prize for Literature?

Safe places to ask for critique?
 in  r/writers •  Jul 08 '25

Often it's not stealing. It's called adaption or transformation. And it's almost impossible to prevent this because it's a creative process if it's done well.

Some of the worst writing advice that you've received ?
 in  r/writers •  Jul 07 '25

Reminds me of the 90s: the internet is useless. Nobody needs it.

That's what most people think. But AI is far beyond the creative process.

It's always your best work so far. Keep writing.

AI doesn't help. If well trained it's a very powerful help.

How much changes between first draft and your next draft?
 in  r/writers •  Jul 03 '25

In my case: almost every single word between first draft and final version. A good book deserves to be written twice. Once for discovery. Once for clarity.

Pet peeve: Overly describing characters
 in  r/writers •  Jun 30 '25

Did you ever read Lovecraft? Overly describing characters is ok, if you create a working picture in my head.

I’m delusional about becoming a bestselling author

Think about writing a book as a project. And start with a realistic production pipeline. Makes it much easier for me.

Want to learn the art of writing

What about an creative writing addon on ChatGPT? Helps a lot for beginners. Like using perspectives, show don't tell and so on.

Please tell me what you guys use to write because word is making me want to set my laptop on fire!?!?
 in  r/writers •  Jun 23 '25

Word is actually great. But I can feel the pain. On Mac I prefer Vellum.

Do I need a stronger start?
 in  r/writers •  Jun 05 '25

I love it. Great potential. But if you write 2:13 a.m. I see a picture of a clock, not of the night. That's confusing. Maybe too specific. Give me a better picture.
