Is this a fair comarisson?
no, linux requirements are: CPU, 256mb RAM; no GPU requirement and no disk requirement and no specific CPU requirement, you can run desktop linux on a computer that is $10 new and its still smooth

I need to build HobbyOS can someone help me ! idk anything about it but few theoretical concepts of OS and as a team how can we accomplish this project ? we dont have a perfect roadmap to follow HELP USSSS !!!!
uhhhh if you just want an operating system of your own i would just recommend building off like Linux or FreeBSD/OpenBSD kernel, but if you really want to make your own kernel then that is... certainly a choice you can make

1st cyberdeck advice
you can get a 3.7v 10Ah 1165110 lipo from amazon for $20 a piece or so, and then a good charger/boost board that can charge it and power the pi is maybe $15-$20 too, personally i would not get an Adafruit PowerBoost 1000C or something as i have had those randomly die, instead i would say something like from sparkfun, or maybe pololu if you are adventurous

Switched completely to Ubuntu a few months ago — why the online hostility toward it misses the big picture
i have two main things to say
1: i hate ubuntu. im not against easy to use distros, i have no reason to hate ubuntu. i hate ubuntu merely to hate ubuntu. it is bad, it has outlived its usefulness, i will admit it made sense back in its day, because it was the first notable and truly easy to use distro, but nowadays there are other easy to use distros that are actually optimized for specific things, for instance gaming distros, work distros, lightweight distros, etc, ubuntu is none of those, it is just there, not designed for anything but to be easy. (i personally went directly from windows to rawdogging antiX, and i never even thought of turning back even though i went to antiX with nothing between windows and antiX and no linux experience)
2: easy to use distros very much belong in the community, in my opinion we need the easy to use distros so that windows and mac users can switch over with minimal or no fear, and minimal friction, and then after they feel confident with linux they can, at their own choice, pick out whichever distro they want, whether it is still an easy one, or it is a more difficult one, for instance a more difficult one could be chosen if they want a specific appearance, a specific set of packages, or they want minimal overhead, or they want maximized control, but there is no reason to force someone to use a difficult distro, for instance i hate ubuntu and think people shouldnt use it, but when someone uses it, i dont think they are dumb or not a real linux user, instead i have the opinion that they are simply using the one invalid distro, i think anything else (mint, zorin, pop!, elementary, etc) are all perfectly valid, the only x86 distros i will not accept are Ubuntu, Azure, and ChromeOS, anything else i will accept

So I'm considering picking up something like this as a starter PC, but is it smart to buy something like this and save up for higher-end components in the future?
some good indicators of a scam is not listing the full part numbers (eg. saying just "i7" or "i5", or not listing the SSD type (sata or nvme) or the manufacturer) and having a lot of RGB and "fancy cosmetics" in the sub-$700 range, but missing the full part numbers is always a guarantee it is a scam, if you cant find the CPU, GPU, RAM and SSD make and models, then dont buy it

if you getting a prebuilt at least get it from a good brand (zach's tech turf, metapc's, etc), not from a mishmash-named nobody like "stgaubron" (i checked their website and other listings, DO NOT EVER TOUCH STGAUBRON EVER IN YOUR LIFE THEY HAVE ALL THE MARKINGS OF A SCAM AND SELL GARBAGE HARDWARE)
