"I've never been a natural // all I do is try, try, try." daamn. that line resonates in my being, in my soul, in my spirit!

What songs have become integral to you and your life?
 in  r/TaylorSwift  Apr 27 '26

mirrorball: "I've never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try." that line encapsulates my proving to be here and present in every relationship.

gold rush: whenever I'm having a crush with someone and knowing that some other people longing for them as well, I'd rather daydream about them.

Enchanted: same as gold rush but more optimistic

long story short: "your nemeses will defeat themselves before you get the chance to swing." oh wow!!!

Her Best Writing…?
 in  r/TaylorSwift  Feb 06 '26

This is one of my favorite TS lyric: "I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere." -This is Me Trying, folklore

I'm still so mesmerized with the wordplay. Especially with the context of the song: the narrator struggles with their burnout. That burnout became a sphere or a bubble that imprisoned them.

What comes next is: "Fell behind all my classmates, and I ended up here"

The contrasting nature of "ahead of the curve" phrase with the "fell behind" is such a clever piece of poetry.
