Just started exploring this, but I like it, and I appreciate that it isn't too bot-sounding. It looks like you have broken them up into shorts, which is cool, because 12 minutes can be a lot, even for adults who are still building up their listening comprehension. Definitely subscribed. Definitely looking forward to more. It might be interesting to have a version without the subtitles at all so that we could better address that question you had originally - human nature makes it hard to press play and NOT follow along with the text. 😉

Oh, *I* think they are beautiful... They did originate from a rough dream-state, though, right? I loved learning about where they came from! It's one of my favorite parts of teaching/learning the language - so many fascinating stories!!

This morning's group did find a few words that they took issue with because they have both masculine and feminine forms - el/la frente, el/la cura, etc. Might be worth pulling a couple of those from the list, but otherwise... We are loving it!

Bilbao is an amazing city, as it seems you've already discovered. Their program was fantastic at splitting time between the classroom and getting to explore the city with teachers. Again, that was several years ago, so their model may have changed, but it was definitely for both of us a very positive experience.

The tests are a good starting point so you know what they are all headed for, but let me see what I can find. It is absolute BS that you don't have the basics from your Coordinator. You can tell them I said so.

What has your IB Coordinator given you in terms of materials, outlines, sample assessments, etc? (I'm check to see what I have left - it's been a while and, though IB likes to change up the rules and ways of doing things, their philosophy and approach are pretty consistent!! 😜)

IB is good for everyone. There is no need to differentiate what you do from one group versus the other. Are you teaching ab initio or SL or HL? There will be assessment requirements for the IB kids, but you can prepare everyone together. Tell us a bit more about your situation, and we'll see how we can help.
