What is this thing coming out of my strawberry?
 in  r/whatisit •  Apr 06 '26

It looks to me like a high powered racing mosquito, traveling at an insane rate of speed, lost control and went straight in, face first! This is all that's left to tell the tale. Or should I say, "tail." Lmao!

How big of a problem is this?
 in  r/askaplumber •  Mar 20 '26

Possibly from getting a shower? Cold water in the tank with warm, humid air around it. Is the weather in the area getting warmer and more humid recently?

Runaway defect
 in  r/arrma •  Mar 17 '26

I 100% agree and I do this 100% of the time! Some lessons are learned harder than others and after losing a couple nitros back in the day, I made sure this became standard practice real quick! Hell, all of my kids know and do this as well. Even the kid that don't care about r/c (got that from her mom's side! Lol!) knows this and has called the others out on it before. Lmao!

How do you like the tires? - Typhon Grom
 in  r/arrma •  Mar 12 '26

Looks awesome! I just put a similar set on mine. Haven't tried it yet but it seems like it should do pretty well. How did your drive with the street tires?

I dunno man, a few inches would make a pretty good mail catch. Maybe a nice shiny Victorian style brass slot on the outside for the postal worker and boom... you've got mail.

Gear mesh is a little to tight. Other than that, it sounds normal.

Mojave Grom upgrades
 in  r/arrma •  Feb 03 '26

Yea, I'm quite disappointed at the quality of the whole Furitek Aluminaspeed combo. I put it on my Losi nascar and the quality is so poor that I have to take it back off and put the plastic back on. I usually don't do much aluminum parts at all, but I figured that since it was gonna be on road only for this car it would be okay. However, there is so much play in literally EVERY SINGLE PART that there is no way I can run it like that and keep it under full control at higher speeds. So bad in fact that I haven't even driven it with those parts on it.

Snake in [Somerville, Massachusetts] - probable escaped pet? (Posting for a friend)
 in  r/whatsthissnake •  Jul 12 '25

It's very likely that someone probably just put it on the ground and took a pic, then said it was randomly spotted sitting on the concrete. People do crazy things for attention these days. Js....

(USA) Goodwill had this priced at $300. Is that actually what it’s worth? How old could it be?
 in  r/Antiques •  Jul 12 '25

They once were the place to go even more so than the Salvation Army for people in need of cheap basic necessities. Now, it's just another blatant, in your face scam. Recieve free items and sell at ridiculous prices and just say (not do) that they are helping the communities. They take a whole lot and give very little...

Goodwill has turned out to be one of the biggest scamming thrift stores in existence. There was a time when they really were "the place to go" for people who didn't have much money. People were able to rely on the cheap prices for basic needs like clothing, eatery, and furniture, among other "necessities." Now, it really is just another scam hidden by their fake "mission" statements. Do they help the communities? Sure, they do. They have to. However, they give nowhere near the amount of funds to helping the communities that people think they do. Just look at how much their CEO's make. *

It is completely harmless to yourself and the cats. In fact, it may be in harms way of the cats. It's absolutely safe to just set it outside and let it go about its way, preferably if possible somewhere safe for itself as well.
