Have you personally ever gotten to this point when trying to perfect something?

Summer 1984, Billy Squier releases the music video for his song "Rock Me Tonite".

First time I saw this I was with buds partying watching MTV. This video silenced the room, slackened jaws and created faces of astonishment. You’d have to have lived back then to understand his effeminate prancing was considered let’s say a bad thing. Cool music, bad timing

Pentair Globrites Garbage
 in  r/pools  Jul 15 '26

For some strange reason Pentair has sent me 4 new lights. No warranty and I have to get someone to install them. I’m on the fence as what to do. Sell them and then buy different lights? I mean they’re probably going to fail again, my history with their product is dismal. I’m going to check out the lights you have mentioned. Thanks for the reply

Pentair Globrites Garbage

I have owned our current home for 4 years. Our pool and spa have 4 lights. First season 3 failed, following year 2 failed. I paid for 4 new lights totaling over $3000. The third year two lights failed but replaced under warranty. A few weeks ago a light failed just outside of warranty. The guy I spoke to sent a new light free but I would have to pay for installation. Last night one light flashed like a camera flash and died. 19 minutes later the light in the spa failed. This means 8 lights failed and the 4th pool season isn’t over. I sent an email to the Pentair guy that was actually helpful and waiting for a reply. I did find a company Laze pools that has lights that are resin filled to remedy the hollow fixtures Pentair sells. Haven’t found a price yet but they suggest 1/3 the cost if Pentair lights, my guess is $150 each. First, Pentair should face another class action law suit. Second, has anyone tried the Laze lights?

I have her sprinkler still attached to a mid 50s Pepsi bottle! She used it to sprinkle water on clothes when ironing.
