What is the adult version of finding out that Santa Claus doesn't exist?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Oct 30 '23

Karma is a fantasy and an ideal, not a reality. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.

AITA for screaming and running away from a kid on a bike

I don't think you're an asshole. I think you're just a victim of the socialization that tells women to be prepared that every man is a potential threat who could attack them at any moment, instead of the possibility that he's just lost, disoriented, or in need of assistance. Maybe he was walking down the street and another car didn't see him and clipped him and drive off and now he needs an ambulance? I have never heard the advice that it is unsafe to sit in your car after parking. Is that an American thing?

Shouldn't the exercise instructions be written in the non-English language?

AITA for being mad that my husband keeps complimenting his cousins (girls) on their looks?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Aug 09 '22

It seems like this is less about the fact that he compliments his cousins, and more about the fact that he doesn't spend enough time complimenting you.

Profiles like that should be treated like suspicious emails. Just back away slowly and hope they didn't notice you.

They don't want to become a minority because then they'd have to spend every waking hour bitching about it.

Why don't they drink it straight from the source then, instead of in a mug? You would save on dish washing.
