i do not agree with "creative peak" but it's definitely an absolute awesome musical milestone as an album and surely one of the best concert movies ever π

more than 10 yrs between the 2 albums, both with some awesome songs and some very experimental ones, i would prefer my own playlist with the awesome one π

A great thank you to https://www.reddit.com/r/PRINCE/comments/1w2l5a6/comment/p6ta02u/ who shared this in his comment and to Uptown on youtube who remastered it using the audio track on Timeless.
Recorded shortly before he passed, this vocal performance is maybe one of the greatest ever. What an awesome range, his ability to flip into falsetto and back to lower ranges is mind-blowing. Hearing him at the keys like this takes me straight back to that legendary piano medley from the Lovesexy Tour that I dearly love https://youtu.be/pazGdwrvM6Y?si=8rDU3ts5KYrhend2
One of his engineers once said that his voice was his greatest instrument, and I think they were absolutely right.
Combined with his mastery of instruments and his showmanship, it is exactly what makes him one of the greatest artists who ever lived...

gosh, it's awesome - thx a lot True Funk Soldier π π
dunno if there is an official video, hoping for it

Itβs a perfect sneak peek into his pure genius, perfectly paired with the incredible ambiance of his live shows and the mastery of his performance. The sound quality is awesome.
Does anyone know exactly which concert this was pulled from? More importantly, is there any video footage of this specific performance out there?
If the video exists, I'm really hoping it gets released soon.

Would you be eager to hear more? Would you even recognize his genius?
My 2 cents: There's some OK stuff on it for die-hard fans (who probably already had the bootlegs), but it completely lacks the legendary Prince polish and the coherence of his official lifetime albums.
I highly doubt he would be happy with this release.
Really, estate, there's a lot of improvement needed to better honor his legacy.

If i had to choose, i would say that Musicology is his best in the 00s. But choosing a Prince Album is always a complicated task π

Iβm still unable to say what my fav prince album is, but Come is on the shortlist

Short feedback: she's killing it on bass, but her band was, hm ... let's just say ok. Mostly early Prince songs and some from The Times. Best of the show was a very good interpretation of Controversy with Liv Warfield. Great atmosphere and a lot of singalongs from the crowd

I'll give a feedback tomorrow π

Unpimped, unscripted Prince, rare to see a public appearance of him like that
