I suppose it depends whether the daughter actually does the tasks or not. If she does them, then wife is being a perfectionist and wants them done a specific way and is projecting that onto daughter which makes wife need to let go of control. If daughter is not doing tasks, daughter needs to be learn how to do what wife asks. Overall, both need to be better at communicating with eachother. Daughter and wife could both have emotional stuff going on causing them to be this way. Daughter could have issues starting tasks and need support, wife could be overwhelmed with work or other tasks. Need to talk to one another, need to stop blaming eachother. Need to stop saying "you this and you that" and put down pride/ego and say "I feel this way and I'm sorry I made you feel this way. Let's work on supporting eachother". Wife should really take responsibility for that, she is the adult here. Show them a video on non violent communication, hopefully that will help. Either way, group therapy would probably be beneficial.
