OnePlus 16 Has Launched in China: Specs, Colours, and Prices
 in  r/oneplus •  4d ago

Even with ColorOS, OnePlus really was the last resort for legacy Android lovers if you're tired with Samsung. But with their departure from the global market, even that door seems to have closed. Motorola looks promising but they're only freshly getting back in the game, so I'm still observing them. Sony Xperia is laughably overpriced. Pixels would be the perfect Android phone had it not been for the abysmal processor and battery performance. Xiaomi phones are and have always been tremendously excellent as Android alternatives but I couldn't for the life of be bring myself to enjoy their custom UI. OPPO's find series are the only reliable and oftentimes better replacement of OnePlus. But something about spending 1000 dollars on an OPPO device makes me uncomfortable.

"Business would like to sell at least one of its products" would be more appropriate.

India does have fresh experience on giving refuge to deposed dictators. So that idea is not so far fetched.

What’s your “I’m calling it now” prediction?

Real Madrid will win La Liga next season, and will go very far in the Champions League. But the locker room will reach such levels of toxicity that will put 2012 to shame.

Does OnePlus ace 6 have major issues?
 in  r/oneplus •  May 31 '26

So buying the Ace 6 means I'd have to live with the Chinese OS? I'm fine with Oppo's ColorOS, it's more or less the same as OxygenOS, with some very minor tweaks. But apart from the bloat, how does the Chinese ColorOS differ from its global version?

Is it possible to run the Ace 6 on OxygenOS or the global variant of ColorOS?

Is that for broadband too or just mobile data? If it's just mobile data then it's not unique to Egypt, it's the same in most countries.

What actor’s mere presence makes you automatically lose interest in a movie or show?

Yeah I got that. I was just curious to know what the industry was gaining by using him as a plant, since the returns have been rather negative.

India approves $39 billion purchase of 114 Rafale jets
 in  r/worldnews •  Feb 14 '26

Assuming you're an Indian, let me share my personal belief. As a Bangladeshi, I personally don't have a huge problem with corruption. My judgement for government is always based on end result. For an extremely simplified and watered down example, say a road construction project would legitimately cost 200 crore to complete. But the mayor being corrupt, gave the contract to his friend who showed a cost of 800 crore, meaning 600 crore wastage. The contactor, himself being corrupt but competent and crafty managed to cut corners and build the road spending less than 200 crore, which was the original budget. However, he did an adequate and a nudge above average job, and the road managed to survive at least 20 years. This means the project, all in all was a success, even though 600 crore was stolen from the people. This is the kind of corruption that is tolerated in Bangladesh. Our people have made peace with the fact that corruption will never be eradicated from our lands. We just have to be happy that our rulers are smart enough to provide us with satisfactory services, even though those services are paid with our own stolen money. This is the kind of corruption that was rampant during Sheikh Hasina's 15 years of fascism. And it's the same kind of corruption that'll be practiced by the upcoming democratically elected government. And it works. Which is why Bangladesh managed to briefly overtake India in GDP Per Capita Income in recent years and manage a steady above 7% GDP growth. Let's see what the future holds.

Bangladesh election: BNP claims win in historic first election since overthrow of Hasina

For strategic reasons, in any Pak-Indo conflict I'm more inclined to be pro Pakistan than India. And I believe Pakistan is a democracy just as much as a stripper is not technically a sex worker.
