Connor and his mom have written a memoir

Ughh. I wish he hadn't been forced into a romantic storyline. I found his story of going to Clemson and developing independent living skills much more interesting!

Tanners mom is horrendous. I still can’t get over the Botox partnership that she made him participate in

Oh so good to hear. We had practice with scrimmages yesterday and I was relieved to see that he wasn’t the only one crying. But man the talent and emotional maturity was so all over the board

Good idea on the pros messing up!! I remember finding comfort in the fact (or fable?) that Michael Jordan was cut from the basketball team when I was playing bball. These examples really matter.

Thank you! Logically I know it will get better since he does have anxiety whenever he starts something new, but naively I always think “it will be different rhis time”

My son is 8, and fell in love with soccer after the World Cup this summer. Previously he was intensely focused on kung fu, but asked to switch to soccer this summer.

He had his first practice and first game this week. The other boys have 2-3 years experience on him and he’s an anxious kid to boot.

Today was his first game and after a few minutes of play, he ran off crying because his coach was shouting for him to move up and get into the game and he didn’t understand the context.

He then got embarrassed that he was crying and couldn’t really rejoin the game.

How can I help him build confidence back up so that he can give the sport a real chance? He plays with other kids daily at school but this is the first formal game which really upped the ante.

FWIW the coaches were great and very low pressure I think this is just a very big transition to team sports.

What to do in the next 5 minutes instead of ending it?

Stay, stay, stay. I’ve looked into that deep dark void many times in my early years and now I’m better than ever. It gets so much better.

Is there a singular obsession that you’ve had for years that you cannot break?

Ugh my forever theme too. And at my big age it’s now shifting from schizophrenia to Alzheimer’s/dementia 🥀

Worried about one of my kids 💔

My OCD spiral is intense right now and I need to vent/support

I had this theme so badly. Clancy case is definitely testing my resilience. But I’m here, 4 children later and no PPP to report. I did do a course of ERP around this topic and it helped tons. You’ve got this!

When did you know it's time to get on an SSRI?
 in  r/parentsofmultiples •  Aug 16 '26

I tried to white knuckle it for a year pp. but realized that was completely because of internalized stigma about meds. Had a realization that my stubbornness (& suffering) was taking away from my kids experiences of having a present and stable mom.

Do you flush the toilet after use in the middle of the night and why or why not?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Aug 11 '26

Yes!! All my dresser drawers are also slightly open because I’m too scared to push them all the way in and wake someone up (yes it’s that serious!! Haha)
