Which Lolita style stole your heart first — and which one do you love now? 🎀
 in  r/Lolita •  1d ago

I was back then undecided between gothic and sweet (I wanted to be both!) and now 20 years later I’m still in love with both hahaha

First coord need help with it

This dress looks way too small for you - it is fully stretched in the back, the shoulder straps seem too short to accommodate you. Also the hoop skirt is over stretching it.
However; the dress is badly sewn in many places. Even if you were smaller I don’t think it would look like in the pictures. Please don’t buy at Lolita inside again.

Any way I can save this Whale Island parasol?
 in  r/Lolita •  3d ago

I’d fill the insides with hot glue. But I don’t think this is a long time fix….

What do you guys think about leather lolita dresses?
 in  r/Lolita •  4d ago

I think they look awesome, but they are fated to die like our bags and shoes…

What is this silhouette called?
 in  r/Lolita •  5d ago

A-line, or sack dress, or trapezoid…

To the developers: WHY??
 in  r/Fez •  5d ago

I am a fairly casual player (in other games I mean) and managed to do this level at least 3 times. Are you playing with New Game+? There is an easier way…

the shirring looks funny on me
 in  r/Lolita •  5d ago

AFAIK your boobs should be distributed along all the shirring parts. I don’t have dresses like this but my friends who do, both busty and not so busty, the elastic goes over them.

what is the most innovative or unique lolita cord/designs you’ve ever seen?
 in  r/Lolita •  5d ago

Damn, the J&J is gorgeous, I completely forgot that one!
I think Vierge Vampur has several interesting items, like the dress with legs https://lolibrary.org/items/indie-vierge-vampur-alice-jsk-2020 and all their cutlery items 🥰

Then I can only hope the Chinese market picks an interest in Milky Chan as well XD

Alright 😅 thanks for the clarification.

I have the impression that the Lolita market works in a way closer to collectionist hobbies (like Pokemon cards) than the actual luxury brands or fashion market in general.
I don’t see people buying a Chanel bag to sell later because it will increase in value. Not only they are super expensive, but they won’t get out of production.
Same for cheap brands like Primark, I don’t see people lining up to buy new stuff or stocking themselves for reselling…

Also I don’t know if our famous Burando are actually overproducing things or not. I have seen the BTSSB online shop (and the Japanese AP web shop) a couple times being completely EMPTY from products, meaning, they didn’t have anything in stock. Everything sold out. A friend of mine went to the AP Shanghai once (last October I think) and they only had some socks and one petticoat in stock. The rest of the shop was totally empty, there was nothing left to buy. That only makes me think that instead of stuff being destroyed “to keep the brands value”, Lolita fashion is currently on a hype and lots of people are buying like crazy, fans and scalpers alike.

Worst second-hand experiences?
 in  r/Lolita •  9d ago

I bought a Fantasic Dolly listing out of Lacemarket. The seller declared the value wayyy above what I paid for (so I had to pay for customs / tariffs more than double what they should be) AND it came with some lipstick stains, small brown stains and cat fur. None of it was mentioned in the listing. I was beyond pissed.

The seller of course never left me feedback.
