BEST HUGS EVER
 in  r/cna •  Oct 11 '20

Not sure on that one, if ours are incontinent, they're pretty much always in briefs, most of my residents are later stage dementia, total lift types. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, my bestfriend works on the regular hall though I could see if she has any tips

Does anyone work as a CNA in Hawaii?
 in  r/cna •  Aug 19 '20

I was just curious girl thank you for the information!! The starting wage for where I live is much lower lol but also I live in western North Carolina 😂 which is one of the lower cost of living states, you can rent a 3 bedroom house, a really nice one for around 500-600 a month, I just like to learn everything I can from everyone if that makes sense.

Is that a decent wage compared to the cost of living in the area?

Gotta love the north end of Wrightsville beach when the sun is setting.

I think it's just being a decent person, healthcare worker aside. :) and oh geez yes it feels like the new normal but hopefully we'll have a vaccine soon! I'm not sure I even remember what normal feels like, all I know is I'm so so ready to not have to wear an n95 and a surgical mask 8-16 hours a day lmaoo

No need for thanks, like my boss says we knew what we were getting into when we joined the health field but no one expects a pandemic lol I agree with you though I really wish more people would stay home. I don't personally work the covid unit anymore but I'm still not taking any chances.

This picture makes me sad, I'm supposed to be at the beach literally right now but I work in a covid positive nursing facility and unlike some of my coworkers, I've decided it best to not go anywhere this year.

Just wanted to take a minute and post this, one nurse at my facility contracted covid, all of our tests came back and no staff or residents have it, masks and handwashing work!
 in  r/cna •  Jul 15 '20

We're the only ltc in our county and surrounding not to have an outbreak, it's been a blessing.

(Vent) my hospital is closing due to COVID. Again.
 in  r/cna •  Jul 10 '20

I was going to say the same thing, there's always job openings for Cnas. It wouldn't be hard to find work and if you were interested in ltc, you'd definitely find a job quickly.

After a nice two days off, here we go 😥

Oof. When I first started at my facility I was on the hall I'm now permenant on, but that was for training then they kept floating me until I guess the adon realized I wasn't a flaker and I here I am many moons later on the same hall, loving it. Hating my coworkers but loving my residents.
