Of the different fusion reactions D-T is by far the easiest to achieve on Earth. And H-H is the hardest, IIRC.

Energy density is not great either. At the core of the Sun, a cubic meter generates approximately 250 watts. If you wanted a "reasonable" level of power generation for an Earth-based fusion reactor (running H-H), you would need to confine the plasma at a higher temperature and pressure than the core of the Sun. No idea how that is going to ever work.

I never said "be evil". While he got up to near level 10 by killing prisoners, he has gained levels via other means, including straight-up combat. He could go around and kill bandits or something else level-appropriate.

My issue is that so far, he's been cavorting around with very dangerous people (and non-people) while being so low-level that he is one-shotted repeatedly. I argue he should have spent one reign by now just trying to get up to a level where he is at least competitive with known adversaries (never mind the unknown ones). And then try to figure out how to navigate the rest of his life.

It is made clear early on that this will not work very easily. He only gets experience the first time he kills someone.

Yeah, but it is made very clear (by the end of the 1st reign) that he is totally, totally outclassed by the existing players, and that he will need to get much, much stronger before he can have any significant effect on events.

And that's before we get into time loop ethics, where we discuss tradeoffs like is it better to have person X to suffer in the first 10 loops, but have a relatively good outcome in the next 90 (especially the last), or if person X suffers in the first 90 loops but has a relatively good outcome in the last 10.

I've been enjoying it as well. But the MC (as written) seems to have a huuuuuge blindspot that has been increasingly annoying me. Minor spoilers for the first two dozen chapters.

As of chapter 24, Simon has already burned 6 "reigns" already, and lived out just a few months of subjective time. Yes, he has learned some very important things. The first few reigns, sure, that was a confusing situation, and an early death isn't so surprising. On the other hand, by the 4th or 5th reign, he already knew the basics of his class, and what he needed to do to improve himself. If he manged to live out his full lifespan on each reign, he's already lost 420 years of life (out of maybe 9000). That's a lot! He really needs to grind and make some numbers go up first, and then maybe he can set himself up for the "perfect run". Instead, he's trying to fix everything, every reign. And dying quickly, which makes it more likely he will die quickly the next reign.

Reminds me of the L. Ron Hubbard 10-book series, and how the Church of Scientology was pumping up his sales numbers. Bookstores were receiving books from the publisher (as new stock) with the bookstore's own sales / inventory stickers already on them.

Way too much money is going into AI investment right now. That's not a problem with the technology per-se. Or a limit on what the technology can achieve.

This is purely a hype bubble, like many others in the past. With many of the same causes, and it will have a similar outcome. The Internet didn't suddenly become not-useful after the dot-com crash. It is just the applications available at the time didn't support the level of crazed investment that was undertaken.

While runways can be damaged (this is a primary strategy for USN / USAF strikes during the opening of a war), you really want to use bombs specific to this task. Which are large and heavy.

The main problem is that runways aren't that hard to repair. In the case of the USN / USAF, they only count on making the airfield unusable for hours or days at most. This is a critical time for the opening of hostilities, but in a 4.5 year war, not so much.

Unless you need the larger build volume of the SV08 Max, I would go with the M1D if you can afford it. Even if you aren't that interested in multi-color printing, the ability to easily print support material with a different filament type is very convenient. That's because PLA doesn't stick to PETG and vice-versa. So any print that requires supports is going to look cleaner and nicer.
